After 3 days in Athens, our stay at the Archontiko Mesohori was just the break we needed. Located up high in the village of Kastraki, was peaceful and quiet. A short walk to some A+ tavérnes and some hiking right outside the door make this a special place.

Very nice hotel in a great location: peaceful and quiet, quick walk to Kastraki for dinner. Also, it’s only a 20 min walk to one of the smaller monasteries. The hotel itself was rustic but clean. Our room (dubbed “Ariadne”) was spacious, with a kitchenette/ family room. The breakfast was very simple, but it worked for us.

I loved the location, can't really get much closer to the sights without becoming a monk at one of the monateries. The hotel is a older but clean and well cared for. Parking is easy, and the staff are lovely attentive people. It's cozy, quiet and really you can't beat the location.

Very pleasant experience. Family owned with excellent hospitality. Property was clean and very quiet. We were able to get an excellent nights rest. The location is perfect for anyone exploring the area. You are a 10 minute walk to the village that has numerous places to eat. The tour vans will pick you up directly at the property and they have free parking on site. Nice people need a great choice.

If you are visiting the Meteora area, you owe it to yourself to check out Archontiko Mesohori. It’s a family-run property located at the end of a quiet street, a little bit up the hillside. From the moment we were greeted by Stephanie, we knew we had picked the right place. Lovely room with stunning views of the mountains around, delicious breakfast, friendly people (Stephanie’s brother was very helpful). Tons of restaurant options within walking distance. As our first accommodation on a 12-day Central Greece / Peloponnese, this place will be hard to beat! Thank you!
