The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The afternoon free cream teas was a nice touch. The sea views were fantastic.
Excellent location overlooking the bay. Beautifully decorated throughout. A spotlessly clean and comfortable room with access out into the garden. The young couple were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble.
The property is an quiet area, fab views and a lovely team. Breakfast was great, the free scones at 3pm lovely touch.
Easy walk to the town, lots of flat Sandy beaches nearby. We loved our first stay in Cornwall which was made extra special with a lovely place to sleep.
Hotel is 10 minute walk along the coastal path to Mevagissey. On the coast , seaviews , modern rooms , comfy beds and delicious freshly cooked breakfast.
Would definitely book again
Quiet location. Good view over garden to sea. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Only bar meals available on this visit as chef had moved out of the area but they were very good. Will stay again on another trip to Cornwall.
Sadly there is no restaurant at present. The location is great, on the cliff top with the costal path adjoining the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast selection of locally sourced produce. Bar snacks of meat or cheese platters, soup are available. Dog friendly.

Very disapointed to have paid for the restaurant facility to find it was not open because the chef had left. We did not know this till we actually checked in. It would have been nice to have known beforehand. It did cause us a problem as it was very difficult to find places to eat that had free tables as most were booked up. One lady staying in the hotel could only get a croissant in the evening on one day. Only used the bar once, it wasn't very welcoming. One of the reasons that we booked this hotel was because it had a Restaurant and we do like to eat in the hotel in the evening.
Stayed at the Trevelsa for a week. The setting is amazing with a beautiful garden and terrace overlooking the sea above Mevigissey. The staff are very welcoming and friendly with Breakfast (excellent selection) and complimentary cream tea being served due to the restaurant being closed in the evening due to a lack of chefs post lockdown. The room was clean and comfortable and Covid cleaning restrictions in place. Ideally placed for walking along the coastal path, stunning setting and base to explore the local area and beyond. The ferry to Fowey was a great day out from the harbour. There was a good choice of pubs and restaurants in Mevigissey but pre booking is recommended. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hopefully will return next year.
Lovely room with a great sea view even in the fog, rain and gale force winds. The room was spacious with a small sitting area and large comfortable bed. The shower room was a bit grubby (grouting needed replacing in the shower area) but the towels were white and fluffy and everything else was clean and sparkling. The restaurant downstairs did a small but excellent menu and the dog was made most welcome in the bar area as well as elsewhere. We wished we had booked for 2 nights instead of one especially as the small village of Mevagissey was so charming and an easy stroll away (down a very steep hill) and there were plenty of places nearby to visit. All the staff were lovely and very kind and attentive.
The room was very good, clean & comfortable with a spectacular view out to see. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss with the chef seemingly challenged by the task of poaching eggs successfully. The waiting staff were very pleasant although possibly would benefit from some training. The oddest part was what appeared to be the owner who didn’t seem at all bothered about actually talking to any guests, I would have thought a “how was your stay “and “thank you for visiting “ would be fairly standard when being handed your bill ????

Hotel a little dated. Rooms comfortable but nothing special for the amount we paid. Walls thin, could hear all sounds from adjacent rooms. Breakfast menu excellent choice. Dinner menu needs to vary. Excellent location/sea views but at top of a hill so not ideal if walking is a problem. Housekeepers helpful, but not ideal them hoovering outside the dining room during breakfast. Owner not particularly friendly
The South West Coast Path is at the bottom of the lawn with steps to a lovely quiet beach almost opposite the gate.

Amazing views ,fabulous shower and soft white fluffy towels .Beautiful property with interesting decor. We ate in the hotel on four occasions and enjoyed the meals. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices The service was rather Fawlty Towers but this sort of added to the charm of our stay. Flowers were put in our room for our anniversary which was a lovely touch. More suited to older clientele!

Great food. Room product a bit average. Water pressure lacking. Surely the days of the single bed in a hotel in this country must be dwindling and the prospect of a decent hot shower in the morning a given? For all that, the property has character and the staff were lovely - obliging, friendly and eager to be of service. Evening menu was great. Breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is a fabulous base for discovering that part of Cornwall from the Lost Gardens of Heligan to the Eden Project. And the restaurant absolutely superb. Will be visiting again.
Lovely hotel, stunning location, clean , food good, BUT from arrival felt a nuisance and unimportant, basics for hospitality surely. ? We won’t be going back
We stayed here for 3 nights recently and was very impressed with the hotel. They’ve put good Covid measures in place which put you at ease. The sea view from our room was spectacular. Lovely gardens and a beach almost in front of the hotel- although down lots of very steep steps. Very peaceful 10 minute walk down to the centre of Mevagissey (it took a lot longer coming back!) Again its a very steep walk down the coast path, but it has lovely views. Breakfast was excellent and the table service was attentive. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again.
