Both the plusses and the minuses were strong. Plusses: it was very large, it was light, it was new/renovated/modern. It was near restaurants and entertainments and the river. Minuses: There were gnats, it was cold, communication was difficult, broken items lent an uncared-for atmosphere.

Great spot in Lisbon to stay!
Great place to see in old Lisbon. Right down town, but in a quiet section. Walk out the front door to a pedestrian only street with lots of eating options. The room was large and clean. The beds are firm, but comfortable. I was nervous with the check-in being remote, but it was perfect. I received an email the day before and every door is electronic (which is very handy). 3 minutes to one Metro station and 10 to the Train station. Couldn't be better placed!

The property is centrally located and modern. However, the whole experience was completely ruined by their bait and switch check in procedure. The Expedia special instructions say there is no front desk and you have to be there "to meet the host" between 4 and 9. I prepaid my reservation in full and my receipt clearly shows the only thing to be collected is the city tax. We arrived at 6:30 and could not get in to the building. Another guest let us in to the foyer where I emailed,texted, and called the contact number asking if we could check in. Finally, after calling Expedia we were sent a text message from the property saying we had to download the WeChat app and pay another several hundred as a "security'. Expedia does say there is a security hold/deposit but it is supposed to be refundable. At normal hotels you give them your card and passport and they put a hold on it. So okay, but I don't use WeChat and I'm literally stranded until I figure out how to electronically transfer this "security" No one even answers the phone number contact. So after an hour in the foyer and having to call Expedia I finally get an email with a link to transfer funds. Shady. But I do it. Then they want 'proof' so I screen shot the new charge to my credit card. Finally, we get a email with an electronic door code. None of this information was in our check in instructions. To top it all off we checked out three days ago and they are refusing to refund the shady second charge! Absolute nightmare.

The location was perfect and the management company was extremely responsive and helpful. The apartment was functional and well supplied. The bed much too firm for my comfort but others might like that. Overall I was happy and would stay there again.
