We loved this apartment and city.
We loved this apartment.
Vanessa and her brother operate a hotel and multiple apartments in Piazza Armerina.
Our apartment was fantastic. It is very centrally located and had it’s own reserved parking spot right outside the door. Two bathrooms, 2 living rooms and a large bedroom. For the 3 in our party, it was the most spacious spot we stayed during 2 weeks in Sicily.
Vanessa was extremely helpful with suggestions for restaurants - which were fantastic. She was also very gracious with other information when I texted asking for the location of a large supermarket.
There is no wifi at the apartment, but Vanessa generously provided us with a key to the hotel so we could access wifi from the lobby there.
I highly recommend this apartment.
- [ ] We stayed at HomeHotels-a wonderfully equipped apartment with a washing machine on Via Garibaldi. It has been updated with 1 and 3/4 bath and a pull out coach in the kitchen area. Vanessa, the host, was very proactive with contacting us to make sure she was here when we arrived to check us in. There is no wi-fi in the unit but she gave us a key to the main office for access to wi-fi and her computer if needed. There were stairs going up to the unit with no lift , but she was kind to help us carry up our bags. She gave us great directions to the local attractions and recommended a few local restaurants. She even contacted us later in the day to see if everything was going well. We happened to come to town on a holiday, May 3, in this town only, and she allowed us a late check-out the next day so that we were able to see the local sites before we had to leave. Parking is difficult in this small town, but she was able to save us a spot on the street. You will love this atmospheric town composed of exquisite 15th c buildings and a labyrinth of streets to explore on foot.
Our apartment, in the heart of Piazza Armerina, was huge, with sleeping space for four, an expansive kitchen/dining/living room area and one and a half baths. It also was within walking distance of the HomeHotels office where we checked in, but we drove from the check-in site to the apartment in order to park our car right at our front door. We found HomeHotels to be well organized and very accommodating. We were invited call “anytime” if there were issues.
A note: Driving into and through Piazza Armerina is not for the faint of heart, especially when leaving this hilltop town headed into the valley toward the Villa Romana. We missed one V-shaped left turn and wound up at a dead end on the edge of an abyss. We had to turn around — very carefully.
Modern beautifully furnished with parking in front
We arrived late and after the check in had closed. Vanessa (the owner) put herself out to come and find us and she thankfully guided us in,as it was a very busy Saturday evening and all of the give no quarter Italian drivers out in full flow!
The apartment is located in a small cul-de-sac high up in the town and even with sat-nav it was proving tricky to find.
Fortunately we were driving a fiat 500lL,as a larger vehicle may have proved even more challenging to navigate between walls of the very narrow roadway entrance up to the apartment.
The apartment was extremely tastefully and expensively furnished, but could have benefited from some clothes hanging and storage units in the bedroom.along with the availability of WIFI inside of the apartment.
Overall this was a tasteful, comfortable and very good value stay in an apartment that is rented from owners who do care for their guests.
We stayed in this lovely location just one night before going to see the Greek temples, which were fantastic! There were a number of restaurants nearby and our hostess was fantastic. We had two rooms which were clean, very comfortable and nicely furnished. We would definitely recommend this location to others.
We had a beautiful apartment in the centre of Piazza Armerina. It was very clean and comfortable. The wonderful young women who checked us in was very happy to see us as we arrived fairly late, delayed in part by it being a feast day, and many streets were cut off. She was most concerned that where we had parked was not a "tow-away" area for the festivities, and even walked back with us to check. Overall we could not but recommend this establishment fully. In every regard they were excellent.
Jättetrevlig lägenhet men "bökig" incheckning.
Contact details incorrect but essential as need to phone before you get there double check before you leave. Shower broken and boiler problems. WiFi only in reception but no access as reception is closed. Noise from other rooms. But overall very good value
Piazza Armerina is worth a visit not only because of the stunning mosaics at the nearby Roman villa. The town itself has the requisite number of churches, great views to the surrounding district and enough bars and trattoria to keep you fed and watered; but without the feeling of being surrounded by other tourists. Home Hotels is an albergo diffuso so the accommodation is spread through the centre of the town. Where we stayed was very well appointed and comfortable. Faten was friendly and helpful and the welcome drink was much appreciated.
Badrockar utlovades men saknades.

Must have a phone to call for registration. Parking is on the street and not immediately available. Apartment is fully equipped in excellent condition and complete. We only stayed on night but would be nice for long term stay. Philip was very courteous and professional.
