Property has amazing views of the nature, good breakfast options. Getting uphill was a bit challenging with a small car but views were stunning.

Nice place, great views over Orotina. Minor criticism: the kitchenette area should have an electric grill or something for cooking.

We loved our stay here. Gigi and the team looked after us really well. Nothing was too much to ask for. Great food available at the restaurant, the kids loved the pools and some good mountain bike tracks. Accommodations were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

The views were spectacular, and the pools were very pleasant. The restaurant was wonderful. We were there at a hot time of the year and there was no A/C, but plenty of fans and shade.
Be aware that the road up is rough.

We loved the views from the restaurant and pool area.
Our room
It’s actually better than the photos, however we would have liked a more kitchen equipment.
We booked the room with kitchenette, It had a lovely big dining area and kitchen but only a fridge and kettle nothing to cook with.
The bed is lovely and comfortable and the extra fan was really good to have.

Extraordinary
Be ready for rough a ride up the hill and nothing around...but once you get there it's paradise. Perfect place to unwind far from city noise. (And no barking dogs!) Dani is a gem, speaks fluent English and super professional. We had a wonderful dinner and a great breakfast facing the mountains. You can even see the ocean. The little villas are rustic and super comfortable. I want to go back!

Beautiful outdoor setting at the top of the hill, with beautiful blue pool and string lights. Great views of the surrounding area and nature. The cottages are clean and well done. Surrounded by nature.
Good restaurant. We had pesto pasta with shrimps, and garlic shrimp. Strawberry daiquiri was also great.
The bike park and high end bike rentals sound awesome. We didn't try them.
Friendly service. We also happened to talk to some of the owners. Great to hear what they are trying to do for the local community as well.
Friendly service.
Overall this was a great Property for my family. We are a family of 4, we had a cozy 2 bedroom unit, complete with sitting area and backyard. The second bedroom had 2 twin beda which was great for the boys not having to share a bed. Things to note...the hotel is up on a mountain, you need a sturdy vehicle to do the drive. Once we got in for the evening we did not leave because the drive up is a bit difficult un the dark. There is a restaurant and bar, we had dinner there every night. There were a few instances in which certain items were not available, but everything we did order was excellent, Chef Daniel was great in the kitchen. The unit was very basic, no tv, no AC, no coffee maker or microwave. Being up in the mountains, it got cooler in the evening so we were ok with just the fan. We enjoyed our stay, Gigi and the staff were very friendly, they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.

A hidden gem
A very beautiful place. A hidden gem with beautiful view.
Communication not so good. We waited 3 hours for our dinner which was only one course. We asked several times when we will arrive and answer was: Soon. They had a bad chef and were not totally honest before the day after.
The manager tried to fix it by offering us a free night if we stayed a night longer, but we already had planned our trip and booked hotel. Which probably most tourists have. The right thing would have been take one night off our current stay.
This does not change the fact that it is a beautiful place and we would give it another chance if we would go back.

Look elsewhere.
Look elsewhere. The staff is friendly when you can find them. We stayed in a 2 bedroom casita, beds were full of bugs, not alive but just not what we expected. Bathroom was outdated and not clean, no ac and in San Mateo late march you need it. Was hard to sleep. The beds are very uncomfortable. No entertainment in casita. Three pools that were run down and outdated. Breakfast is free but very limited. Would not stay again.
