The chuckwagon concept was attractive. It’s right next to the freeway, which made it loud to try and sleep in at night and I think it would do better if it was more remote, and you felt like you were more in the old western atmosphere.

Staying in a covered wagon was fun! Enjoyed the experience. Very clean wagon and very clean rest room only a few steps away. (You need to leave the wagon to use restroom). Due to the unique design of the covered wagon, it’s not as sound proof as a standard hotel room and we could hear some noise from the interstate nearby.

Great place to stay. Cabins were clean. Front desk staff wasn’t the friendliest but not overly mean. I’m used to friendly people in Texas but maybe they were having a bad day or live in New Mexico. I’d definitely stay again even though they just have van that takes you to the restaurant, not a limo like advertised. Maybe it’s an Amarillo Limo??

Sleeping in a Covered Wagon in Texas is a pretty cool experience we absolutely loved it! one word of caution though if you are a light sleeper it can be very noisy at night with I-40 right beside us and train tracks on the other side, and low flying planes overhead.It didnt bother me a bit and I will definitely be back!

The “private bathroom” is not attached to the room. You have to go outside for the bathroom. It’s so loud. You hear the interstate all night so don’t stay if you actually want rest. The wagons and cabins are nestled into an RV park. Not what I was expecting from the pictures and descriptions. Would not stay again.
