Honiara hotels

I enjoyed my stay here. This was a good base with a few home comforts for a solo traveller. The bed was very comfortable and there were a few okay TV channels - more than I expected. The WiFi kept going offline but always came back on after a few minutes so it really wasn't an issue overall. The windows are cheaper slat windows which means it can be a bit noisy in the room but, overall, again not too much of an issue. There's a great supermarket about fifteen minutes walk away at the Panatina Plaza. However, I am calling out the location details on the listing, which were very misleading: Honiara Central Market is absolutely not "11 minutes walk". It is nearly 6km and takes an hour or so to walk to. I walked once and got a public bus the next day. One of the reasons I booked here was because of the assertions about "What's nearby". Other claims about What's nearby were also misleading. Overall communication was fine and staff very friendly. On balance I was happy with my stay - but the 'what's nearby' listings should be updated on the hotels.com listing.
