Reykjavik hotels

It was not the most comfortable bed but was a nice location, supermarket close, bus close, friendly staff. Better when we hired a car.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Swan House! The apartment was a great size, very clean and beautifully appointed. It was in a central location so I could easily walk to all the sights in Reykjavik. The staff were also a standout, always very friendly and happy to have a chat. I really felt comfortable at this accomodation and was sad to leave.

When we arrived, we picked the key at the front shop, the lady very friendly show us our room, just behind the shop, and gave us shopping discount card.Nice room , comfortable beds, the room very warm and bath room floor is heated, very clean and Bus stop 6 and 7 are just few minutes walk , very conveniently

Fantastic, spacious and great location.

Location in the city is good, and self check in easy enough. So disappointed on walking in to room 308. After reading all the flowery description about Alva being pinnacle of luxury meticulously crafted, breath taking city views, sophisticated atmosphere, it is nothing more than a standard 3 star apartment room, with a view over a large double carpark, exterior refrigeration fans and a truck loading dock (most of the level 3 apartments on that side of the building will have similar view) and as the Alva is on top of a supermarket the noise of fork lifts and truck staff moving things in and out of the supermarket in the mornings is very disturbing. There is no light in the entry/wardrobe area and its very difficult to see inside the wardrobe, the small eating table has stains over the surface. Maybe on 4th floor, on opposite side of the building you may see some city sights. I really wish that owner/s of these investment apartments would not be misleading in the website and booking platforms' description. It is very pricy for what you get and and disappointing. This property is very clean, very good heating and few buildings from here is the stop where all the tour companies stop and the buses for the the airport transfers ( 9 Ármúli ) I feel this is important information the property should have on their website. On Hotel.com website it says 24 hour checkin, 24 hour front desk and Laundry facilities. It is not 24 hour check in and no front desk on site. There is a phone to make a free phone call to front desk. When we enquired about the laundry the morning staff on site said there is no laundry. Checkin was painful and a hassle as we were supposed to have had a reference number and a PIN number to check in. Was never given one. The kitchenette in room a good addition but u need USB ports in the room. This is the new age. Every one uses USB ports to charge their phones and devices and do something about the pillows.
