Muscat guest houses

This has to be one of the best hotels I've stayed at and I've stayed at a few really good ones. I'm writing this review sitting in my room no 502, enjoying the beautiful view from the window. I can see the majestic Sultan Qaboos Mosque on one side and a beautiful sunset on the other. The moment I entered this hotel and was greeted by the friendly lady at the reception, I had a feeling that this was going to be a good stay. Staff: All staff are really friendly and helpful. From reception staff to room service: they are all great people. Nothing is a hassle for them. Rooms: Very spacious, bright and quiet rooms with very comfortable bed. Everything is functional. Air con, TV, iron etc : everything works perfectly. The room came with a full kitchen, which was very handy. Location: Ideal. Not too far from anything worth visiting really. <5 min walk to a supermarket. Short walk to the Grand Mosque. Short OR 1 taxi ride to the Mall of Oman and Azaiba Beach. I would definitely be staying at Citadines Al Ghubrah Muscat again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Fraser Suites provided a great option for us in Muscat. Our apartment was extremely large (so large it echoed!) and provided a very comfortable stay for my wife and I. It is located not in a hugely convenient area for tourists, but it is likely you'll have a car as we did. Muscat is a spread out city, so finding something 'central' is not really an option anyway. Conveniently located near to a shopping mall which includes a supermarket, Spinneys, this was a great stop for us as part of a longer trip. The addition of a washing machine was also very useful. Nice pool and gym area as well. Breakfast was good without being outstanding.
