Wonderful in every respect, best staff ever, wonderful restaurant at base of hotel, had most meals there actually, best view ever to across the river to Porto. Spacious,clean well appointed apartment. Close to port houses and river boat transportation, close to chair lift. 15-20 minute walk to old town. 5 minutes to bridge. Would book this again in a heart beat. Didn’t want to leave….

Our experience in this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived and couldn't have been more helpful (but not intrusively so). The hotel is spacious and architecturally beautiful and even has a lovely smell. Our apartment was only one of the standard ones - but was so luxurious! Two bathrooms is always a bonus and we loved the little kitchen and separate lounge. Good air-conditioning and (heaven!) a washer and dryer! The location is absolutely central and in walking distance to everything. The parking lot is secure and easy to get in and out of. My only suggestion would be to call ahead (they all speak beautiful English) and ask where to park when checking in. Parking illegally in the centre of Porto can be a bit of a unnerving experience!
