Our two night stay at Old Oak Tree Cottage Rydal was so relaxing from start to finish. Lisa the owner was a pleasure to deal with and made sure everything was perfect for us. The cottage has a warm feeling and is decorated beautifully and has everything you would need. For me the big bonus is the yard. It is huge with well established trees and so many areas with seating for you to sit and relax. It is hard to do anything but relax from the moment you arrive. We are planning to come back regularly and next time stay double the time we did this time.

We arrived after dark on friday night to find the cottage warm and cozy. From the moment we pulled into the driveway to see the little cottage all lit up waiting for our arrival, we felt welcome. The next morning opening the curtains we were met with a beautiful sight. The grounds of the cottage are absolutely gorgeous. We spent many hours next to the babbling brook reading in the warm winter sun. Late afternoon we headed inside to sit by the fire and relax. The cottage was well kitted out with everything we needed. No detail was spared. The beds were comfy and cozy with electric blanks to keep us snug. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything imaginable and then some. The owner was so lovely, leaving fresh bread,eggs and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. We were sad to leave and come home, honestly this cottage is the most charming place we have stayed. We loved it so much we are just about to book our next stay. 10/10 highly recommended.

Loved it, a proper escape from hustle and bustle. Sunrise on the front veranda is lovely.

The cottage is lovely has everything you need. It is so quiet makes you really appreciate life. It is a great place to getaway from everything.

The cottage is absolutely lovely! Cozy and nicely appointed. The bathtub and heated floor in the bathroom were unexpected luxuries! The garden is beautiful and there are plenty of places to sit and watch the birds and enjoy the flowers.
