Paamul resort rentals

The ocean view rooms shown are not what are given if you book one. This hotel was a let down in every area. Be so careful here as you cannot leave valuables in your room safe. The safes are operated by a key and not a pin code. We were very lucky not to have everything stolen as the thief obviously didn’t want the chance of being caught. Instead he left the cash and wedding rings etc and swapped one small diamond earring for an earring without the diamond in it. You can see from the photo that the earings are not even close to being the same. He did a good job as it happened the day before we were leaving. We stayed at this hotel only for 2 days as we wanted to spend time at xcaret. They knew we were gone for the day. A cheap couple of nights has turned out to be a very expensive one. Nothing we can do but suck it up. After speaking with management I am told the general manager has only been there for 2 days and this happened 3 days ago now. The manager tells me that most of the staff have already changed over. No attempt at all to talk to the staff. They clearly have a thief at this hotel. Good luck if you stay there.
