Barcaldine beach rentals

We had the pleasure of staying in the Edwardian wing of Bonawe House. A stunning apartment and the perfect place to relax and refresh after a day or two of sightseeing… both around Oban and on the Isles of Mull and Iona. Great food was available within 10 minutes, a lovely little village shop and a lovely garden only added to our enjoyment. The lounge is a space to behold and made for lovely evenings, and the main bedroom was something quite special. On my bucket list for a longer stay in my retirement.

We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Yes, there are stairs to the second floor, but the view from the front rooms is fabulous. We didn’t use all the bedrooms but our bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our view. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed having a large fridge. It also had ample storage in each bedroom and plenty of towels. Oban is a lovely town to visit, sensational seafood and lots to see, particularly if you catch a ferry to Mull and Iona.

The property is situated a 10 minute drive from the town centre so is well located for any sightseeing that you want to do. The home itself is very spacious, has lots of storage, very comfy beds and cosy lounge room and a large enclosed back yard which was lovely to sit out in and enjoy a drink and our family members two small dogs had a wonderful time exploring in it. Hosts communicated with us well prior to and during our stay to ensure that we had everything that we needed. A lovely touch was the complimentary Oban chocolate and a selection of Oban Whisky that we could help ourselves to and enjoy a wee dram! Highly recommend this place and hope to visit again one day.
