French Polynesia beach rentals

We had a wonderful stay at Jaques place. The apartment is very spacious with a kitchen and everything we needed. We mostly loved the view from the apartment and our kids loved the black sand at the beach at the front. As we arrived late, it was very convenient that there is a restaurant at the bottom of the complex, so we didn't need to go grocery shopping straight away. There was also a show on at 7.30pm on Thursdays and live music on the weekend. The big Carrefour is only about 7min by car away which was handy as going out can be quite costly in French Polynesia. Jaques met us at the apartment and showed us around and was very helpful with great tips. We highly recommend staying here.

We stayed for 7 nights and found this bungalow perfect for our family of four. The washer and dryer and kitchen were so useful during our stay. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the deck over the water a dream to chill out on. The bungalow is beautifully decorated and furnished so much more than what you get at a resort. Amazing place to stay. We were a family of 5 and there was plenty of space to sleep. Firstly, Aiden and Monique were so helpful in checking us in and assisting us with local knowledge and contacts and making sure we were comfortable during our stay (thanks so much guys). The house has the ambience of a family home, not a hotel, which we found really nice. We spent a lot of time sitting on the jetty watching the fish, sharks and rays go by. The bay is very safe for swimming, our kids were snorkelling and kayaking every day. Also great just to watch the goings on of the locals as they head off to collect tourists for the lagoon tours. Logistically, there are key amenities close by. There is a small supermarket 200m to the north stocked with fresh baguettes each morning and a small range of groceries and alcohol, 200m to the south is a fuel station which stocks fresh baguettes and pastries and snack food. 1.2 km away, is a larger supermarket with a good range of all you need. The house has supplied bikes (and two tricycles) which are great for the shopping ride. Directly across the road is a fantastic restaurant (Kaylakea Moz Food). The food is really great and does takeaways. Allo Pizza is a 5 minute ride to the north where you can also bring pizza back to the house, or dine in. 1200m to the north is also the new Cooks Bay Hotel for happy hour and a meal. Only negatives are traffic noise in the morning. Thanks for a great stay!

We are family of four and stayed at the house for one week in January. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything necessary for a very comfortable stay. It is truly a home away from home. It has plenty of places to relax near the beach, in the garden and inside the house. We love snorkelling so we took the canoes everyday to go to a coral garden between the two mottos. One of the mottos has a very good beach restaurant, perfect for lunch. There is a small grocery shop at the entrance of the estate, which has all necessities. The host is amazing, very friendly and caring. We had a small problem with the electricity in the garden and she called an electritian and fixed the problem withiin couple of hours.

This property is even better than the pictures show. The attention to detail & use of local artists has led to an immaculate property. Probably best suited to two couples who would make use of the two full en-suite bathrooms, but there is an upstairs loft up steep locally manufactured stairs and a separate downstairs toilet. Large bifolds open up the living area into a shaded deck & infinity pool. The kitchen has all appliances you could possibly need. Total privacy in the property & pool and only a stones-throw from a plethora of shops, restaurants & well-stocked supermarket. Unfortunately, the reef close to the house is silted up, but the two provided kayaks can take you across the channel towards the shallows on the lagoon side of the fringe reef where the coral growth is a little better and a variety of tropical reef fishes can be seen (& a turtle or two). We even saw spinner dolphins coming past the house on morning! Clement & Anais are to be commended on how the property is maintained & their communications. We will be back ! Mauruuru
