Great location, comfortable apartment, lots of thoughtful details with everything we needed

We loved everything about it this beautiful apartment, the check in process was so lovely, Paolo and Mara are very accommodating. The local restaurants, deli, bakery and grocery store are perfect. We had amazing weather so spent time out on the water and exploring the surrounding areas. As a family of 5 we loved the different areas in the apartment and how close it was to the water, shops and restaurants. We will miss this apartment and Verenna as we stayed for a week we got to know the locals and relax and enjoy the area. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay! Lovely, spacious and clean apartment. We were very happy we chose this apartment. Lierna is out of the way of the main tourist area. We found it accessible easily enough from Lecco and Varenna by train and by ferry to and from Bellagio. The area is very picturesque and there are good dining options within walking distance. Communication from the host was excellent.

I would recommend this apartment to our family and friends without any hesitation. This apartment in Como was perfect in everyway except one. The apartment is not airconditioned. Putting aside the lack of airconditioning, we could not have been happier. The host, Veronica, was generous with her time and knowledge of Como. She met us at the train station and walked us to the apartment - which was very close to the train station. Not that you could hear the trains going to and from the station from the apartment. The apartment is a two level apartment was located on the first floor in a very clean, tidy secured apartment complex. The apartment was perfect for up to 6 people with every modern convenience you could wish for including a washing machine. The beds in the apartment were all very comfortable. We were in Como in mid July 2023 and it got a bit hot some days. Whilst it would have been nice to have returned to an airconditioned apartment, we found that the apartment was able to be cooled enough with open windows and fans. We will return to Como again soon and will definitely stay in this apartment if it is available. Thank you to Veronica. You were an amazing host.

Carate Urio is a quieter location on Lake Como. The ferry is approx one kilometre away, the bus stops outside the door. If you choose to have a quiet day in the local neighbourhood, turn left and walk the one kilometre to the butcher shop/cafe. You’ll need to pass George’s place. Or turn right 400m to a bar/cafe, a grocery store and a good restaurant. But no need to travel that far - right next door is a great restaurant/pizza place. We throughly enjoyed our two week stay. The views from the apartment are truly amazing.

We had a great time at Casa Margherita 2 in Como. It is a nice stroll to the centre of the city. Set in lovely gardens and surroundings, it felt very calming and was wonderful to hear the birds singing. It was ideal to be able to sit in the garden and enjoy a glass of complimentary wine. Thank you! Gigliola was very kind and helpful, explaining things well. She suggested restaurants and nearby supermarkets etc and kindly organised transport for us to Milan when we left. Many thanks Gigliola and Adriano! We hope to return.
