Exo Gonia lake rentals

My wife and teenage daughter and I stayed at the villa for 4 days in July and it suited our needs perfectly!! Centrally located making it convenient for Fira, Oia and the beaches at Perissa and Kamara. Our host, Mery, was super helpful especially with restaurant recommendations and transport around the island as we didn’t rent a car. The pool with the villa was a great plus for all of us as were the great restaurant choices within easy walking distance. A beautiful place in a great location - definitely would stay at Cavern House Anthea again!!

The property was very comfortable for a family with a nice outdoor area to eat and hang out. Comfy beds and big shower. Very close to the beach and restaurants and an easy walk or drive to supermarkets. We like that the area was quiet compared to Fira and Oia, thw ocean was beautiful to swim in and we hired a car to see the rest of the island. Unfortunately we were all sick upon arrival so we didnt have the chance to explore as much as we'd have liked. Kostas was a friendly host and his parents helped us feel welcome and solve a few small issues.

Excellent communication with the property manager prior to arrival and throughout the stay. They were available and quick to respond, and offered good suggestions for things to do, including making bookings for us. Transport from the airport was arranged and worked great with rental cars delivered the next morning. One thing to be aware of is that there is a steep ascent with steps from the car parking to the property and Pyrgos in general. It is not wheel chair accessible, and you need to be ready for a short but significant climb to the property carrying all your belongings with you. This was not a problem for us, but it could be good if this was mentioned in the property description. The fridge was well stocked on arrival to take us through until we could go to a supermarket. There are several good restaurants in Pyrgos within walking distance. Particularly Xeporto at the Ikio Concept can be recommended. We will highly recommend this property and Pyrgos for a family or small group of friends that are looking for a quiet place for a vacation. Many thanks to Caroline and Ester.
