Val-de-Cher-Controis lake rentals

Lovely little cottage, newly renovated with style and great facilities and immaculately clean. We were met by our host at an agreed time and we had no trouble finding it with the help of our GPS. Though we spoke no French we were all able to make ourselves understood (with some help from Google translate). It was wonderful to be surrounded by French countryside. There are two bikes that can be used to ride around which was very quaint. Sitting in the garden was very relaxing. Pontlevoy is a nice little rural village and just 2 minute drive from the cottage. It is about 20 minutes to drive to Cheverney and 20 minutes to Chenonceau Chateau so this is a good mid point location. Beauval Zoo, also nearby is amazing and a nice change for the kids who quickly grew weary of Chateau's.
