McLoughlins Beach mountain rentals

A lovely property in a really unique location. It was quiet and peaceful, and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed watching the different weather roll in through the large back windows overlooking the waterways. Looks a fantastic place for boating and fishing - will need to come back with a boat next time! Thank you Mark and Andrea for a wonderful stay.

After an extremely busy 2023, we needed to escape to somewhere peaceful and this cottage certainly delivered! The cottage was fully equipped with everything you need in a home away from home. We were able to prepare full meals, store all our cold goods in the full-size refrigerator, and sleep peacefully as the sound of the waves were crashing in nearby. The property is located a very short walk away from the beach. There was no need to cart every essential with us to the beach as we could easily duck back to the cottage to grab lunch or anything else left behind. The fact that the cottage is dog friendly made the whole trip extra special. Our furbabies are well and truly a part of our family and to have them with us the entire time was a joy. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, look no further!

The experience at the lodge was great. The building is well set out with many rooms and beds. The sports supplies that were provided were useful as well as the fridges and kitchen space. For a group of 25 adults, we were accommodated very well with lots of space to be together. The beds were comfy and the toilets and bathrooms clean. There isn’t much bench space in the bathrooms. Communication was good but we were a bit confused about why the manager was visiting the property so often to check on us - at times we didn’t feel that we were given complete privacy. This is something to be mindful of but did not effect our stay.
