Matamata-Piako District mountain rentals

Very nice setting and I was made to feel very comfortable and will look forward to staying again and I recommend to anyone that has respect for Niki. Accomodation was very clean and tidy and in the most lovely quiet setting. Niki made it very clear with directions and rules but she was so lovely to let me k ow if I needed anything she would be willing to help out. Stayed in this cottage and it did not disappoint! The scenic drive to the cottage was wonderful, rolling hills and very peaceful. Sarah, the owner was in contact and made getting there and into the property super easy. The The drive into the gated property with its tree canopy was beautiful. The cottage was gorgeous, with little momentos of Hobbiton which is the reason we stayed in Matamata, for the Hobbiton Tour and Beer Fest. The breakfast supplied was fantastic, we picked up some smoky bacon to enjoy with fresh eggs and toast. The bed was sublimely comfortable and the backyard was bathed in sun in the Morning. Would absolutely stay here again but this time for a few days longer to really enjoy the cottage and its facilities, and the peacefulness of its location.

Kylie was fantastic from all aspects. Every details was attended to. The space was just amazing and Kylie was so accommodating. We would look for excuses to return to Matamata just to return. We wish we had a longer stay.

It was a great place to stay. The host was there ready to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed which was great and the location was amazing.

Stayed in the wonderful Swiss-Kiwi retreat on new year eve - after a scary 2 hour torrential rain drive from Auckland airport, my partner and I arrived to a wonderful welcome from our lovely hosts who took us straight to the incredible hot tub to relax and unwind after the drive. Thank you for being so wonderfully welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway

Waitawheta Cottage was a perfect location for our needs. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and take in the beautiful countryside around this area then I would highly recommend it.

From the moment we stepped out in this beautiful country haven... we were warmly welcomed by Monika and Rolf They were fantastic hosts we felt like it was a home away from home especially with animals around and home made breakfast items were fabulous. Thanks for making our stay so lovely.
