This surreal lake at 2700 m is named after the Rishi (sage) who meditated here, the lake is worshipped and revered by the locals.

The 'pagoda' temple was built in the 13th century, and offered us blankets and a room for the night's stay.

The circular grass mound is a floating island, and the winds move it from one end to the other through the course of the day...to me this alludes to an iris that sees the sky, and the 'eye'-the lake reflecting all it sees.
