Fabulous villa only a short drive into central Ubud. Very quiet of a night time and the pool was amazing. Highly recommended if you want to be close to restaurants etc but want sone peace and quiet. Staff were fabulous and the Owner checked in with us daily to make sure we were OK with everything.

Loved our stay here. We stayed in fancy hotels in other areas but nothing beat our time in Ubud in this villa. The pool is bigger than it looks, it outdoor showers are great. There’s minimal kitchen inventory but enough to make a few meals. We didn’t know the two rooms are in in either end of the house. As o

The house is enormous with amazing views of beach and countryside. The staff are helpful and worked very hard to make our stay the best it could be. The house is very close to the ocean and beach is not suitable for swimming owing to it being rough - but the sparkling pool is really excellent and so clean.

So glad we found this place, and that I read the other reviews, because the pictures for this villa don’t do it justice! The villa is beautiful, with a sparkling pool surrounded in lush garden. It was the perfect size for my partner, myself, and our 6 month baby.
We also loved the location with lots of great restaurants just steps away, a fancy coffee place out the front, and a massage place that we visited twice. Definitely our favourite stay in Bali and hope we can visit again.

Stunning Villa

The villa has three main areas, the main house which has three beautiful bedrooms that are very comfortable, and a great shared Space. Separate areas for two bedrooms and ensuite each. One is near the enterence and the other down a number of stairs. Theses are a little more rustic and older but still beautifully unique and very comfortable. The beds are little hard but they each have everything that you need including a kitchen area with kitchen, fridge, kettles and beautiful outlooks.
Villa was in a great location. It’s about 15 to 25 minute walk into a board depending on where you want to go but within 10 minutes, you can be at heaps of restaurants and shops. Just outside the villa on the street. There is about 45 restaurants I recommend Savannah and ginger Marong both fantastic food and there is a little restaurant right at your front door that will deliver food to your villa..
The pool and grounds are just stunning. It’s very old established garden and has beautiful areas some lovely private spaces that you can fit and a great space for a meeting as a family and hanging out hanging around the pool. The staff are really attentive they anticipate your needs and always really helpful. They come turn the lights on and off adjust the doors depending on the weather bring extra towels and make sure that the water is full fare just incredible. The breakfast is great. You can order the night before what you like. The staff are amazing, it’s the extra t

This is NOT a private villa and this is NOT a hotel. It is a home stay! Which is ok, but not for the price. We were personally sold on the fact that this place was all to ourselves and then when we turned up there were other guests there. We were told we had a private pool, but ALL pools are shared. Food was not what was pictured and mediocre at best. The food is also very highly priced for bali. Room was dark and damp. This place was not set up for a hotel and because of this there is not proper sound proofing or walls. You can clearly hear other guests and can see through gaps under doors. The family runs freely throughout the home which is fine but their 15 year old son decided to tell my 7 year old daughter the tooth fairy wasn't real, which meant that we had to deal with many tears and issues later. The place is cool but way too over priced for what it is. Budhi (the host) really does try her best but prices need to be reduced as it is a home stay, not a private villa.

We visited as a family and friends group of 6 and loved every minute, despite the torrential rain! Putra, Wayan and all of the staff were just delightful and the setting was perfect. Even though we were 'rained in' for a lot of the time, we had an absolute ball; watching the monkeys in the trees, playing card games in the covered, open air living space and swimming in the pool.
We had some magnificant meals at the villa also (make sure you try the suckling pig!)
There were also some local warungs within walking distance that were great for meals also.
We'll definitely be back.

Ultra-relaxing rural stay

Our family of four had an incredible stay at Chai T villa. The kids (ages 6 and 9) loved their upstairs bedroom while we enjoyed the spacious bedroom on the ground floor. The location is absolutely idyllic and peaceful, overlooking the swimming pool and rice fields beyond, with lovely shade throughout the day. The staff were a delight throughout our stay and very friendly, and the breakfasts and in-house dinners they prepared were delicious.
The rural nature of the villa does come with some drawbacks. It is located quite a distance from a substantial town, so walkable choices for eating out and purchasing supplies are limited, and the main road to Ubud nearby is difficult and dangerous to walk on. We therefore relied on the excellent driver Putu (as recommended by the hosts) to visit local attractions and spend time in and around the centre of Ubud. The sounds and smells of rural life are never too far away either. The local roosters aren’t fussed about waking you up early in the morning, and if the breeze blows the right way, the musk of the neighbours’ cow tends to visit every now and again. There is no air conditioning but we generally didn’t miss this during our stay, with the weather being entirely pleasant, and only needing a light breeze from the fan at night.
The pool was great for the kids, and magical for us to relax by in the afternoon, and the outdoor shower was a treat. Overall I’d thoroughly recommend this villa for a peaceful Bali stay.
