We had a beautuful winter holiday and this warm homely cottage became great base for visiting locally and spending comfortable days inside when the Northern Michigan winter and Mother Nature said stay inside. The cottage was beautifully equipped for the preparation of some splendid meals and our hosts were lovely people who were happy to help us out. The proximity to Kalkaska and the winter view of Crawford Lake attracted us in the first instance and this proved to be great choice, as there were some marvelous sunsets and winter play and recreation on the frozen lake, which was a pleasure to watch. A great winter holiday and experience that was completely different for an Australian couple.

The lake was so clean and clear with a wonderful swimming area . It was very relaxing to just sit and admire the view or paddle around in one of the boats provided . The cottage was clean and had everything that you would need . Perfect place for young toddlers too . I would highly recommend this cottage to families.
