Christchurch District rentals with pool

Loved staying in this beautiful home - huge space to enjoy and such a convenient location. The pool and garden was a great addition to enjoy.

This reconditioned grand Government building must surely be the benchmark for classical accommodation it that's your style. All the grand elements are there, including tall doors and ceilings and grand staircase, but the rooms are spacious and so grand you'll want to spend your entire holiday there and not move on. Our room was on two levels with two king bedrooms on a mezzanine level, full dining table, upstairs and downstairs bathroom, full kitchen and cooking facilities. The front bar is a gem for breakfast, lunch, or drinks, indoors and outdoors seating. It is located on Cathedral Square with the damaged cathedral sitting there to remind you of what the city has been. Easy walk to the city and art gallery precinct and restaurants and museum and park. So elegant you'll feel pampered. Friendly staff from the front desk to the support staff working in the hallways. Barber shop on the premises. Gym and pool. A real benchmark, believe me, in classic, elegant accommodation. Prices when we stayed were very reasonable indeed. Don't miss this one, or the opportunity to see the resilience of Christchurch.

Excellent location. Property new and maintained although sparsely furnished. Just one bright lamp in living room, no bedside lamps for reading but great thick bath towels. Kitchen utensils were at a minimum and cutting knifes were way beyond the ability to slice or dice. Dishes, glasses and bowls were plentiful Property managers couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. They came to my aide several times during the first few days and never ceased to tire of my calls with questions or offer help. This a great safe location, just a 20 min. walk to the center of town.
