Description

Located in an elevated north facing waterfront position, the house overlooks the lake, sand-bar and ocean - the view is amazing. This brand new luxury pole house has two pavilions with floor to ceiling glass in every room, so the view is never far away.

This private hide-away is a great place to take time-out from the stress of life. Just sit back, take in the views, the breeze and quiet bird songs. Or take the path and a picnic hamper down the back steps to the beach on the lake.

The entire house has luxury fittings, from the gourmet kitchen and built in surround sound home entertainment system, to the amazing glass bathroom.

Famous Blueys Beach, Elizabeth Beach and Seal Rocks are nearby. Only a few minutes futher, hidden by bushland and large rock outcrops you will find Shelleys Beach (for nude sunbathing if thats your style).

House Location

Pacific Palms is a small enclave locked in by Myall Lakes National Park, Wallis Lakes, Smiths lake, Booti Booti National Park, and the Pacific Ocean. Together make over 100 kilometres of lakes hugging the coastline with only sand dunes a lot of the time separating the lakes from the ocean.

Smiths lake is located in between Myall Lakes and Wallis Lake and is 20 mins drive south of Forster and 2.5/3 hours drive from Sydney. The house is perched 20 metres high on the lakes edge overlooking the Sandbar. This is one of the prized positions of Smiths Lake as it is in a secluded spot overlooking the ocean and fronting the best part of lake. This part of the lake has lots of calm shallow sandy bottomed water to swim in (Ideal for kids).

The house is also a short stroll to the locals shops: bakery, grocery, butcher, liquor shop, take-away and the famous local cafe frothy coffee down on the jetty (what more do you need)!

House Design

The Noreaster is a modern architect designed pole house nestled amongst the tree-tops, with two pavilions joined by a glass walk-way. For the ultimate in relaxed living, every room as been designed to take advantage of the views, light and breeze.

The living area has bi-fold doors that open out to the deck that overlooks the lake, sandbar and ocean. The house and waterfront is protected from Southern and Western wind. On hot days the sea breeze (noreaster) kicks in and acts as natural air conditioning keeping the temperature surprising mild on hot summer days. There are purposefully placed louvre windows designed to catch the summer breeze and flow it through through all rooms in the house, breeze ways.

You can also enjoy the home theatre sound system and DVD, while the gourmet cooks kitchen is fully equipped. For those staying during the cooler months, in front of the open fireplace is the best place to be. To bring the outdoors in, the two queen bedrooms each have a full wall of glass, and the bathroom has floor to ceiling louvres that open to a private fern courtyard. At your back door is a invigorating outdoor shower, and further down a short path is your beach on the lake. At the front of the house is a protected BBQ area, perfect to use any time of the year.

Guest Reviews
Often you are sceptical about the images displayed on an accommodation's website but in this case the property exceeded the quite high expectations. The view is serene and spectacular, you really are up with the birds, and waking up to a sunset view from your bed is amazing. With an open fire and DVDs, it's a great place in winter, but we are looking forward to coming back and swimming in the warmer months. It's well stocked for kids and there's plenty to do (or not, like we did!). We saw a whale in the distance too!

What a wonderful week in a great location in a great house with great weather!! Couldn't have been more blessed. The Nor'Easter was everything the website said it was and more. Ten points for thinking of the little things that make a stay a lot easier and enjoyable - firelighters/ first aid kit/ binoculars/ iron/ egg cups/DVDs/CDs/ toys etc. Will certainly be back and try to orgnaise a tinnie next time so we can zip about around the lake that is jsut down the steps from the house. Thanks for a great week.
