  • "Well-equipped and comfortable cabin set in a beautiful rainforest gully. This place truly is a bird-watchers paradise; we counted 15 different species just from the verandah. Lyle and Jo Ann were very friendly and helpful and their advice came in handy for places to eat, directions, and amenities. We can't wait to return to this beautiful and peaceful place. "

  • "The cabin was great and it was a tremendous opportunity to relax in comfort. Ideally situated, there is so much to see and do locally. The birds that visited the feeding posts near the cabin over our stay included varieties we had not seen before and all were relaxed without being too tame. Very hospitable and fiendly atmosphere."

  • "The cabin is very comfortable and well equipped. Staying in the rain forest is a really rewarding experience, I loved it. Completely unspoilt, a great place to escape the hurly burly of city life. Great place for bird lovers. Thank you Lyle and Jo-Ann."

  • "We found the cabin to be spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The location was absolutely perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed being so close to nature amongst the birds and wildlife. We took Jo-Ann's advice and spent a lovely morning on South Rosedale beach, then in the afternoon we took Lyle's advice and went on the headland walk at Geurilla Bay where we were fortunate enough to see a passing whale - a real highlight of our trip! "

  • "The cabin is so peaceful and well equipped, away from any roads or other people. The owners very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful relaxing time sitting on the verandah, watching the multitude of native birds. "

  • "A small prefab cottage right on the edge of a forest creek. It is not fancy but is equipped with everything a small family would need and is secluded enough for an intimate weekend away for a couple. I found the long verandah overlooking the creek a real quiet pleasure especially when visited by rosellas, cockatoos and King parrots."
    Kevin, June 2008

  • "The property is not that close to the main road (5 min drive) or batemans bay (20 min drive). therefore its best for those who just want a quiet retreat. The native birds love the cabin and we saw around 20 species which was great. we also saw 5 dolphins swimming 20 metres into the shore at malua bay which was also amazing. the cabin also lacks mobile reception which was a bit pesky. however the kitchen and living room were fully fitted out and very comfortable."

  • "Excellent place to get away from it all. Beautiful wildlife and very comfortable cabin. would highly reccomend a stay there. We will definately revisit."
