Cottage 1
Warm, cosy, 3 bedroom cottage with great family appeal. Fully furnished with linen supplied and all modern amenities, wood fires, gas/electric cooking, cot, highchair, toys, mountain fresh water, washing machine, dvd/video and satellite television. Accommodates 6 people plus in comfort.
Cottage 2
Inclusions as in Cottage 1 and comes with commercial kitchen and lock up garage.
Group Bookings are welcome and with both cottages we can accommodate 12 persons plus.
We are available for functions, and catering can be arranged.
Lizzys is fenced for horses, has dog kennel and wire dog run and controlled pets are welcomed.
The surrounding forests support wildlife in abundance including yellow bellied gliders, greater gliders, powerful owls, and giant burrowing frogs. Over 100 bird species are found here, including black cockatoos, wedge-tailed eagles and the sacred kingfisher.
Lizzys is within striking distance of the Snowy Mountains and coastal valleys leading to the Sapphire Coast which gives the district among the cleanest air and light in Australia.

Fresh organic produce is available locally or at the Wyndham General Store/Post Office. Nearby The Robbie Burns Hotel, a 2 minute walk away, is a great place for a meal and a drink.
This historic village featured early in Australian settlement and is a well worn path to the Monaro Plains, Snowy Mts. and ACT to the west, the Sapphire Coast and Eden Harbour to the east.
Visited by many colourful characters in the past and is a great place to visit and explore today.
It is surrounded by National Parks and forests.

*Lizzys started life as a settlers Cottage around 1866.
*Wyndham school opened in 1868
*Heritage listed Wyndham Hall opened in 1888
*Wyndham General Store was built in 1888, it burnt down in 1930 and was rebuilt in 1938 on the same site as its predecessor the Dublin Store.
*Mataganah Bridge opened in 1896 - on New Buildings Road built with timber from Charles Rayners' Sawmill.
*New Buildings Bridge over Towamba River, heritage listed and a fine example of a NSW Dare Truss bridge, completed 1921.
*Historic Wyndham and Rocky Hall Cemeteries.
There are daily air and bus services from Sydney & Melbourne. Merimbula Airport is less than half an hours drive from Wyndham and rental cars are available at Merimbula.
The drive from Canberra is less than 3 hours and from Sydney or Melbourne it is 6 hours.
Local markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month. Enjoy scenic drives through the forests and explore Wyndham's forested rim. Follow Tourist Drive 10 and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding National Park. See stately eucalypts, blue Mint bush, yellow Goodenia, Correa, Acacia, Olearia and beautiful tree ferns growing in lush rainforest gullies.
