Description

Chalet Vale Beach House is a self-contained house within walking distance to the beach, golf course and park.

Preston Beach is midway between Mandurah and Bunbury and about ninety minutes south of Fremantle.

It's a year-round destination, a beautiful place with birds, kangaroos and a beautiful beach stretching as far as you can see to north or south.

There's lots to do at Preston Beach. The beach is a fifteen minute walk where you can fish/ swim. There's a playground for the children too. You can also enjoy several walking trails in Yalgorup National Park, a round of nine holes at the local golf course or a game of petanque down at Preston Beach Lake (park).

If you prefer a more relaxed pace, you might enjoy fish and chips down at the beach, or relaxing on the deck reading one of our many books.

The distance from Perth was extremely manageable, especially considering petrol prices and we were there before lunch. The pictures on the web page were encouraging but I was blown away by the beautiful home. The living area is open and airy and has a wonderful comfortable feel from the wooden floors down to the over-sized solid wood dining table. Everything was there! The beds were comfortable - there were only two of us - and the home could easily have accommodated two families. The beach was pristine and we encountered hundreds of kangaroos who seem to be so well fed, they were completely disinterested in our proffered carrots - but a wonderful experience to be able to simply be in the middle of a "mob" on the golf course.
I recommend Chalet Vale - I've travelled a lot and stayed at many different places in and around Australia - this is one of the better ones."
