Penthouse Apartment Sunsets in Key Largo, Kawama Yacht Club Tower

Enjoy the panoramic view this tropically decorated, fifth-story penthouse unit has to offer of the Atlantic Ocean and the adjacent Wildlife Sanctuary. The unit affords its guests the spectacular sunsets the Florida Keys are famous for, right from your balcony and living room. The property is situated at mile marker 100 right on the ocean. This gated community with 24 hour security gate offers all you need for a relaxing vacation or get-away. The unit has porcelain tiled floors throughout for your comfort and cleanliness. Our unit is fully furnished with all the comforts of home, from your toaster oven to your blender to make those famous tropical drinks. Sorry Pets are NOT allowed and this is a None Smoking/ None Vaping unit.

Guests traveling with boat or other type of water vessels, you will have free use of the boat ramp. HOA rules maximum vehicle per rented unit is two (2) be advise boat and trailer count as one. Trailer parking is based on availability and not guaranteed by host. Contact us for information on renting a slip (association rules apply) at our marina with direct access to the ocean.

We feel confident your stay will be a most memorable experience! We bought Kawama for our future retirement home. Excellent fishing, scuba diving, Snorkeling and just all round water sport destination in Florida. Kawama is on the Ocean. We do have a man made beach area on the property. That area does not currently belong to the association. It is privately own, but due to the by-laws they must provide access to owners and guests of Kawama thus you do have an easement 12 feet to access the ocean. You can swim and snorkel on our ocean area as well as in our lagoon that is stocked with tropical fishes. Pending on the tide and current, one day we will have clear shore line area another day we will have seaweed accumulate on the shore. This is normal for the Keys.

Boat Ramp (All Vessels entering Kawama must bring proof of liability Insurance of $300,000.00 or higher) Marina Boat Slip Rentals (fees) contact host for assistance.

Please note that due to members of our family which have severe allergies to numerous pets we are strictly unable to accept any pets on our home for health reasons. If you must travel with any pets do not reserve our home.

One of the many projects a host has to do is pest control. Since our home is part of gated community with a Home Owners Association, included in our fees is interior and exterior Pest Control. As of this writing our monthly pest control is provided every second Tuesday of every month. These days are subject to change without prior notice.
Please be aware of this when you book and reserve our home as we want this service to be provided to our home.

Checking out of the home: • Leave one set of keys in lock box and one back hanging on the entrance foyer. • Take all trash out to dumpsters • Put all dirty dishes in dishwasher and start the load. •
Our check out time is 10:00am, Day prior to departure send a text or call host and advise if your departure time will be before 10:00am.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Treat our home as you would your home. Remember that Kawama is a family environment complex. See rental Agreement.
You are required to fill out the Homeowners association form in order to enter the complex and be issued a parking pass (a QR Code) for your stay.
Due to Family allergies and HOA Rules we are not able to accept Pets. Do not reserve if you must travel with Pets.

Wonderful

First time at Kawama.

We have been to the Keys many times as a family. We decided to stay in Key Largo this time and shopped online via VRBO to find Kawama Resort. We were impressed with the property, the location, and the owners and had a great time. It is well located, secure, and has everything you could want to find in the Keys. The owners were particularly helpful.

Family vacation

Great vacation condo

I stayed in this condo for 5 nights with my dad, and we were both very happy with it. The unit was just as described, is in good condition, and is a nice place for the money. The owner was friendly and replied quickly to questions during the reservation process and during the stay. The location is convenient to many stores, restaurants, and dive shops, and the sunset views are fantastic. We would gladly stay there again next time we are in Key Largo.

Great Family Vacation Spot!!

The room was very nicely kept and provided a lot of space and easily fit a family of five. The lagoon (which was part of the complex) was amazing! It entertained the kids for hours. The water was clear and there were lots of fish. The pools were well maintained as well. All around it was a very good experience.

Beautiful condo in a great location

This place was immaculate and very beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the views and all the beds were very comfortable for a good night’s rest. The kitchen was furnished nicely with all that we needed and more. The attention to detail by Jose and Estella was very apparent. Would stay here again when we return to this area.. the only negative was a father teaching his son pickle ball at 6:30 am, It woke us up, but we are early risers anyway.

Amazing stay in Key Largo

Jose’s condo was beautiful, as was his hospitality. Everything was in order and extremely clean. The view from the balcony was amazing with the best sunsets. We also rented a slip for our boat. Jose helped give us coordinates for snorkeling and fishing in the area since this was our first time in Key Largo. In all our family enjoyed our trip to Key Largo, and we would highly recommend staying in Jose’s condo. We will be returning soon.

Every one in our party had a wonderful time the week we stayed in Key Largo. Mr. Penabad stayed in contact with me during the week to insure that we had everything we needed or had any issues with any appliances. Checking in to the property was a breeze. The security guards were friendly and personable. The grounds were immaculate. I will definitely return. I would recommend the Tower at Kawama to anybody.

Diving Key Largo from Kawama.

It was just me and my son Luke on this trip as my wife had something come up and she couldn’t go. Luke and I are divers and we bring our Robalo R222 with us on trips to dive from and Kawama is perfect for that. It is on the best side of the island for divers because as soon as you leave the dock you are on the reef side and that saves a lot of time. Seas were rough and vis was low on this trip but Kawama and Jose were great. I highly recommend this location for anyone who is bringing a boat.

Wonderful stay in Key Largo

My husband, 2 boys and I stayed at this unit at the end of May. We really enjoyed the close proximity to all the places we wanted to visit. We traveled to many of the other Keys as well as Key West during our stay, and we were really glad that we chose to stay in Key Largo. We enjoyed the views from the balcony, the pool, and the washer/dryer were a definite plus! Jose met us the night we arrived, even though it was 10:30 p.m., and gave us some great pointers for food and fun in the area. Our deposit was returned quickly, within a few days of returning home. Overall we had a wonderful experience at Jose's condo and in Key Largo. We want to go back!

Great Find in Key Largo

Found this at the last minute and stayed a week with my wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Property was perfect. We cooked 4 times in the kitchen and everything we needed was there. Beds were excellent and the bathrooms were great too. We were there to dive and fish and everything was 10 minutes or less from our condo. Islamorada was only 30 minutes away and we took a day and visited KW--an easy drive down US1. Best part was starting and finishing our day on the balcony facing the marine, Atlantic ocean, and the mangrove swamps. Jose was very responsive and a great communicator too. Would stay a month if we could and will definitely return next year, this time for two weeks.

Perfect Location

We so enjoyed our stay at your apartment. The private pool only for people staying in the towers was lovely. We noticed how crowded the other pools were and were very thankful to have to pool all to our family every time we went. The property was terrific; the pier, sitting areas where you can watch the sunset, and the lagoon were peaceful. The location was close to great diving/snorkeling; John Pennycamp was only a few minutes away. We are at several excellent restaurants also minutes away, like Pilot Hours and Conch House. The unit was very spacious and well-stocked, with everything we could need. Jose had excellent communication. Finding a place that works with three teenagers is difficult, but this was perfect. We will defiantly be back!

Fourth of July dive trip

Enjoyed staying in this large, clean condo. It was just right for two couples. Only complaint is how far away the trash bins are - but that is not the fault of this condo. Just be aware it’s a half mile round trip walk to take trash to dumpster and it’s a pretty hot walk, so plan ahead. This unit has a very small balcony that can fit 2 people at a time but we enjoyed it at sunset. Views are over the pickleball court and trees, and you can see part of the marina on the side. The condo itself has comfortable beds, provides beach towels and basic kitchen utensils and cook ware. Could have used some plastic cups to take to pool. Overall great stay and would not hesitate to return.

Great Getaway

My wife and I needed a “get away” for several reasons….A Dive / Rest and Relaxation vacation was the solution. The location and accommodations provided by this unit certainly filled the bill. The provisions of this unit and surrounding attractions were superb. The Owners made coordination of the rental easy, user friendly, and were available for area recommendations and any issues should they arise. This property is well maintained as displayed in the pictures with all the accommodations any small group, whether family or friends, would need for a getaway. The area provides plenty of entertainment and good food allowing a very affordable vacation. I will certainly take advantage of this location again in the future. I am in the military and have already provided information about the experience to my co workers and other soldiers. Just what the Dr. ordered!

Great condo, great vacation!

My family and I just returned from a wonderful and relaxing vacation in Key Largo. Choosing the right place to stay was of utmost importance to me as I was traveling with my 7 month old baby, my parents and husband, and I must say that this condo was the right place! The condo unit had everything we needed from the baby's crib to every type of kitchen utensil that my husband needed for cooking (he is the chef in our family!). The condo and all its amenities were very well maintained. The location of the condo was beautiful. As we drove into the private community we were very impressed by all the greenery. The condo also offered amazing views of the water and breathtaking sunsets. Having a security guard at the gate was also a plus. Knowing that only authorized people were allowed on the property offered peace of mind. Parking was never a problem. There was plenty of parking during the day and at night. There were plenty of activities for the whole family to engage in. My husband and I went snorkeling in John Pennekamp's coral reef a few times. It was magnificent! He then went deep sea fishing with a private charter. My parents and the baby enjoyed swimming in a beautiful tropical beach just a few miles away called Founder's Park. All these activities were just minutes away! The building also has a couple of lovely and well-maintained pools. Shopping, activities, food, car rentals and more are within minutes from this terrific condo! I manage a conference center in Florence, Italy and for several years also managed a small B&B in Florence, and I give this condo unit 5 stars. Not only is the unit and location terrific but so is the owner! From my first inquiry to the booking to check-in to departure, the owner made every step super easy. He was very helpful, offered a lot of advice about the area and was very friendly and professional. I hope we have a chance to return to his home in Key Largo in the future.

Perfect home base in paradise

Lovely roomy condo with a sweet little balcony that is shaded in the mornings. You will be slow leaving this haven to explore the keys. Everything you need is here and you feel safe in this quiet gated retreat. I hope to be back every year.

Perfect spacious condo for family of 4

Had a wonderful time staying at Kawama tower. The unit was very clean and the owner makes a point of meeting guests in person to explain property details. The unit actually seemed bigger than the pictures (they usually are the other way around). We are a family of divers and snorkelers and found the location very convenient to get to our chartered boat trips (5-8 min from Rainbow Reef docks).
