The Setting

Arcadia is off the main tourist road, just a 5 minute stroll to restaurants and shops.

The approach to the seclusion of Arcadia is through green, temperate rainforest. the cottages are surrounded by hundred year old oaks, southern beeches and cathedral high mountain ash. In winter the camellias bloom in pink, red and white. In spring rhododendrons flower in their hundreds. Wild ducks paddle on Arcadia's ornamental ponds. Beyond the gardens, distance gives the ranges a watercolour wash of blue. The feeling of Arcadia is relaxing and enchanting.

Arcadia now has its own dedicated Day Spa Centre with two stunning treatment rooms and a guest lounge.
Relax and be pampered enjoying treatments ranging from Massage, Facials, Body Scrubs, Wraps and Day Treatments.

The Cottages

The pretty timber cottages of gabled roofs and leadlight windows seem to be part of the romance of the forest. Each one is hidden away by itself. Inside there are Australian antiques and other exotic collectables. every cottage is different. Some feature dramatic, cathedral ceilings, whilst another has a secret loft. Each one has a wood fire and a large spa with private forest views through soaring windows or a hot tub in a plant-filled conservatory. The mood is casual, idyllic luxury.

Cedar Cottage is a 1930's cottage recently renovated and enlarged though retaining the old world charm. Lots of antiques and collectables, sunny breakfast conservatory & a separate kitchen. The double spa is located in the bathroom with views to the fern garden

Forest Cottage is hiding amongst the trees at the far end of the garden. There is a separate bedroom and antique brass bed, ensuite, lounge, dining and kitchen area. the lounge opens to glass conservatory where the double spa is.

Treehouse Cottage is contemporary and stylish with dramatic 5 meter high windows, glass sitting conservatory and secret loft. The double spa is in the bathroom with leadlight french doors opening to the log fire and forest views.

Fernwood Cottage is elegant, with 6 meter high windows reaching up to the cathedral ceiling and a secret loft. French doors open to a glass conservatory filled with palm trees and a large cedar Hot Tub spa. The bathroom has a double shower. There is also a four poster queen size brass bed and full kitchen facilities

All our cottages have real log fires, private garden courtyards and are fully stocked with breakfast provisions
