From the port take a cruise to Peppermint Bay, or a short cruise on the Derwent.

  • "What a wonderful cottage in an equally wonderful 'secret' garden. We had 8 nights at this delightful cottage (4 days + 4 days). Bill and Martine were excellent hosts. Martine's cooking is to die for, thanks for the apple pie, cake, biscuits, etc and the breakfast supplies. We were there at Christmas time and the cottage was decorated for Christmas and a special gingerbread house for us on arrival. We look forward to staying again."

The room is small but a very, very comfortable bed and all cooking amenities and extra little comforts are taken care of. The biscuits were beautiful and constantly replenished. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and made our stay very comfortable. I would say it's a little oasis in the middle of Hobart!"

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Behind The Green Door. It's a great place to stay within a walking distance to Hobart CBD and Bill and Martine were perfect hosts. When a huge storm caused power outage one night Bill got us firewood to keep warm. They even offered to drive us when we returned the rental car. Martine's got an amazing garden and the cookies were delicious. Jaai & Abhi"
