Self contained rammed-earth cottage just 25 minutes south of Hobart in the port township of Kettering.
A new Day Spa facility now available. Come for a facial or full body wrap and stay the night.
The cottage is available all year round, sleeping two adults, but has a fold out sofa for the little ones, or two more adults. A full kitchen with microwave and a complete laundry with clothes dryer, provides a comfortable nightly or longer accommodation.
What to do in the area?
Situated on the magnificent D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Kettering avails the visitor with easy access to vineyards and wineries, essential oil distillery, flower farms, potters studio and weaving, wood turning workshops and Tasmania's award-winning organic sheep cheesery, Grandvewe Cheeses.
Kettering is also home to the true "Kingdom of Chocolate Heaven"; John Zito’s Nutpatch Nougat products. The minute you enter the shop and see the huge selection of magnificent Belgian-style chocolates, you’ll never buy chocolates anywhere else again! They are absolute works of art, and capitalize on using as much local product as possible.
Getting to Bruny Island from Kettering;
Access to Bruny Island is by vehicle ferry. The Bruny Island Ferry, The Mirambeena, departs from Kettering, 40 minutes drive south of Hobart. The Bruny Island Ferry crossing takes 20 minutes and offers excellent views of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel from the upper deck.
