Description

The Old Dairy has stunning views over the valleys of the surrounding 160 acre farm but is only 3km to Maleny.

Our two bedroom building is very spacious and includes a full kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, living area with cosy fire and views from all rooms to surrounding farmland.

There is also a large studio (12x5m) attached to the dairy that has a table tennis table or somewhere for the kids to play if the weather turns bad.

The Old Dairy is the only holiday accomodation building on the property.

Bedding configuration; Bedroom 1: 1 Queen, 2 Singles, 5x5m. Bedroom 2: 1 Queen with private balcony, 3x5m. Additional single beds and a travelling cot are available. A laundry is attached to the kitchen.

Our Farm

On the farm are three dams, a weir, 1.5 km frontage to the Obi Obi Creek and excellent riparian zones with remnant rainforest. The farm is a registered Land for Wildlife property where you can see platypus, echidna, crayfish and a wide range of birds from wetlands and forest. There is also of course the resident breeding herd of Santa Gertrudis cattle which calve from September to November.

Arley Farm is also a sponsor of the Sunshine Coast Art Prize and has been selected to host the residential component of the prize for 2006 and 2007.

Down on the Obi Obi

Just a short stroll from the accommodation brings you to a beautiful rainforest swimming hole on the Obi Obi Creek where you can enjoy a picnic or BBQ and maybe catch a glimpse of the resident platypus. This area is fully fenced, very private and a quiet haven in a rainforest setting.

With over 1.5 km of creek frontage there are plenty of places to walk and catch great views of view the resident wildlife.

Guest Reviews

  • "We had a beautiful week at Arley Farm. The owners were delightful, and the fully self-contained accomodation just lovely. The two-bedroom, very tastfully renovated old dairy, with plenty of space for everyone - was just what we needed. We'll certainly be returning."
