Description

Semaphore Beach House offers great family accommodation only 200m from Adelaide's best beach. The fully self contained 3 bedroom house is just seconds from the great shopping, cafes and restaurants of Semaphore Road and only a few minutes away from historic Port Adelaide.
Located near the intersection of the Esplanade and Semaphore Road, it's a great house in an even better location.

*** No extra person surcharge - a flat fee applies for 1 - 6 persons staying.

Facilities

Fully self contained and equipped with everything you need and more for a hassle free and relaxing stay. The home was originally built in the 1930's, and although it has been completely renovated inside, it still retains the original charm and character that abounds in Semaphore.
The house has 3 bedrooms, with a queen size bed in the master bedroom, the other two rooms have 1 double bed and 2 single bunks. All bedding linen and towels are supplied.
The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with a very impressive 900mm stainless steel stove, just waiting for a gourmet chef.
There is a separate lounge and dining area, laundry, courtyard with BBQ, and off street parking. The complete home away from home.

Semaphore and Surrounds

The Semaphore foreshore area offers a range of recreational facilities including a waterslide, mini-golf, old style carousel, Ferris wheel (made famous in the Elvis Presley movie Roustabout), a skate park and a cycling and walking track that extends from Outer Harbor in the north to Normanville, some 80 odd kilometres away on the southern metropolitan coast.
The beach is wide and one of the safest swimming beaches in Adelaide, the sandhills are fringed by grassed areas popular for BBQing and picnicing.
The Semaphore shopping precinct has an old fashioned friendly feel, with cafes, restaurants, hotels, fashion, art, furniture and antique marts and lots more to explore. The Odeon Star cinema complex is an olde world style cinema, showing all the latest releases for a bargain price of $7 all day anyday.
The historic maritime area of Port Adelaide has a Railway Museum and a Maritime Museum, galleries, markets and loads of history filled streets to explore. The Dolphin cruises attract hundreds of hopeful sightseers, and rarely disappoint.
AAMI stadium is a short 5 mins by car, a train will take you into town in 20 mins, and Glenelg another 20 mins by car (or you could try walking the 18kms directly along the beach - just head south!).

  • "This was home away from home, everything you could possibly need was supplied. Then to make matters even better was the fact that any shop you could wish for was withing walking distance. Plenty of eating places were close, with mixed nationality cuisine. If I return to Adelaide this is the place I want to stay in anew."
