Feed the King Parrots from the decks, listen to the koalas getting to know each other outside your bedroom window or just watch the surfers on the point from this private elevated position.
Kids love it - with lots of things to do surfing, boogie boarding, rock pool exploring, bushwalking, fishing, hand-feeding parrots, playing on the swing equipment, playing table tennis, or beating the adults at table soccer - or just chasing skinks.
There is plenty to do all year round.
Avoid the crowds, snuggle up by the fire or take long beach walks with your dog wrapped up in your favourite cardi - come back for a glass of port by the fire or on the deck. Dont wait for summer to visit our house Forest Edge. There is too much to do - you need more than just a weekend!
Despite the seclusion if you need some retail therapy, local market or movie, just turn left or right at the end of the road and sample what Apollo Bay and Lorne has to offer. The best of everything down the Great Ocean Road.

Forest Edge is a secluded beach house nestled between the state forest, tree tops and the sea down the Great Ocean Road at Kennett River.
Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and escape to Forest Edge and enjoy the best view in Kennett River. Our property is unique because you can enjoy spectacular views and be only a five minute walk away from the beach.
With stunning ocean views, with a coastal view north facing Forest Edge is out of wind and enjoys plenty of winter and summer sun - perfect for barbeques and alfresco dining. Listen to the crashing waves as you drift off to sleep at night after a relaxing (or busy - its up to you!) day.
The house is tucked away in a very private position on a large block backing onto the national park with great coastal views. You can check out the break on the point to see if you should get that surf board out to catch that wave!
Walk down to Koala Cafe to treat the kids an icy pole, buy the paper and wander across to the beach, and watch the locals surf - this is the life! Once your home again, see the koalas in the treetops or feed the parrots - right outside your back door.
Forest Edge is a large residence with enough space for 2 families or more. Enyoy a beach retreat across 2 living levels. The top level has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom and the lower offers 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Perfect for being with your friends and families without living in each others pockets.
Forest Edge has the following features:
Sleeps up to 14 people with 3 large queen bedrooms with inbuilt cupboards (sleeps 6)and 2 bunk rooms –one with one bunk (sleeps 2)and the other, we call the room Camp Kennnett, with 3 single bunks (sleeps 6) -each room has coastal views and each room has cupboard and draw space.
Large separate games room with table tennis table, tv, dvd and cd player/radio- shut the kids noise out while you enjoy some privacy and drinks on the front deck!
Send the kids outside to enjoy a large safe property to play on the swing, cubby, slide and jungle bars and chase the skinks.

Koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, the beach and a continuous table tennis competition help complete the picture.
Something for everyone, with a warm fire through a cold evening, to a sunny breakfast on the deck with the birdlife overlooking the beach. Paradise!

Our favourite local pub in Wye River only five minutes away - watch the surfers as you enjoy a steak or local fresh fish. Kids love the play area, pool table and pinball games.
Visit the Koala Cafe at Kennett River for local crafts, snacks, papers and those every day necessities. Just a short walk to the best cappucino and local information!
Apollo Bay approx 15 mins away- pubs cafes market and the pier
Lorne approx 20mins away –shoping and the cafe
Otway Fly- approximately a 75 mins drive past Kennett River
Or just stop on the way on the course of your Great Ocean Road Getaway - next stop Port Fairy or even Robe!
