Description

SPECTACULAR DESIGN:
This NEW holiday home was architecturally designed to capture the magnificent water views across Moreton Bay, to the mainland and hinterland beyond. Ten metres of floor-to-ceiling glass, slides open and ensures you enjoy spectacular sunsets from the living and dining rooms.. perhaps while sipping a chilled champagne or enjoying a glass of cold beer. Louvre windows and overhead ceiling fans allow for the cooling island breezes to circulate and flow throughout the open-plan home.

Upstairs, the master suite is an open-plan bedroom and ensuite area, encouraging "time out" for adults. The bed faces the waters of Moreton Bay, so why not laze in bed or read the Sunday papers while soaking up the wonderful view. Have breakfast or coffee or your private deck, while your friends or family use the one downstairs.

RELAX AND UNWIND:

The second bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed and also enjoys the same spectacular view as the living area. Large glass doors slide back and open onto the shaded deck - why not borrow one of our many books, lay back and relax on your deck chair, or even settle for an afternoon snooze.

Preparing lunch or dinner has taken on new meaning..... enjoy the expansive view from the kitchen and utilise the new stainless steel appliances. BBQ on the deck, and when the sun sets over the bay, the night lights of Redland Bay sparkle to illuminate the mainland across the water.. quite a spectacular sight.

No loud traffic noises to interrupt your peace and quiet... only kookaburras, rosellas and sea eagles gliding along searching for their evening meal.

FOR ACTIVE PEOPLE:

For those wanting "a little more" activity, Macleay Island has a public golf course, a bowls club and some quiet sandy beaches to explore. For the "fisherman", throw in a line at one of many local beaches or fishing spots - you can hire a boat from the local store for a half or full day.

Bring your bike from the mainland, and you can ride around the island until you can "peddle-no-more"

Why not "Island Hop" - grab your backpack, water bottle, some lunch and jump onto one of the local ferries to explore Lamb, Russell and Karragarra Islands - ferries leave each of the local jetties, on a very regular basis.

Guest Reviews

  • "We are home, after a really wonderful weekend at Sunset Waters. The description of this holiday house on the internet didn't prepare us for the joy of sitting on the front patio until after midnight on the Saturday night, enjoying the view of the lights across Moreton Bay etc, in balmy weather. Then the fantastic views we woke up to - breathtaking! The house itself was a delight and the owners have catered for every possible thing a tourist/holiday maker could ask for, and then some. The only thing we missed out on was the Sunsets, due to rainy weather on the nights we stayed - not to worry; we will see them next time! We will most certainly be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us, we will be back! "

  • "We stayed at Sunset Waters for 4 nights. The house is spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views are amazing! The attention to detail makes all the difference. There are even fishing rods, bikes, DVDs,CDs,games and books provided so you are never short of things to do. We particularly enjoyed using the barbecue on the deck as well as being invited to share freshly caught prawns with the very friendly neighbours. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sunset Waters."

  • "I would say that 'Sunset Waters' is the best house we have ever rented (and we travel around the world for 9 months of every year!) It was sooooo peaceful, which is THE most important thing for us. The views were wonderful and the accommodation excellent. Everything has been thought of, and no expense spared! Elaine, who looks after 'Sunset Waters' for the owners, is superb. Kind and helpful - there, if needed, but giving one all the privacy one requires. 2 weeks was not long enough, 2 years would have been better." "

  • "Have just returned to crazy Brisbane after 4 nights in your fabulous home I do not think that if it was ours, we could share it! We will definitely return, and in the meantime try to do a bit of promotion for you. It is so close, but still a ?world away?. Thanks for a fabulous weekend"
