Sea Eagles Nest (SEN) is an architect designed home with a beautiful living area enclosed in glass (floor to ceiling) that puts you into the tree tops, but allows you to be cosy inside. SEN sits on a ridge overlooking the Bega River valley and below to the estuary. The estuary, over 200m wide and dotted with islands and lagoons, can be accessed immediately from below the house. In summer it\'s fantastic swimming!
For winter guests the house is sun filled and warm. Very much the romantic getaway. In the evening you can enjoy the use of the new wood fire place, as well as the large gas heater so you dont have to wait to warm up. Make your self at home in front the fire while you look over the river valley.
The setting is natural with plenty of wildlife to capture your attention. There are living spaces (decks) outside on all four sides of SEN depending on what\'s best for the time of day. The native garden on the ocean side, with views and breeze, has been developed by a local craftsmen and includes an extensive beautiful dry stone wall and entertaining area. The furnishings are personal and warm and have a distinctly Asian influence including authentic Turkish rugs, Thai roll-out cushions and comfy lounges. The kitchen is the central hub of SEN with modern decor and a chefs 6 burner gas-top stove. The two bedrooms are airy and large, and there is room for others to sleep privately in the main living area.
There is no air conditioning. SEN is passively cooled with ceiling fans in all rooms, shade sails and breezeways. Very comfortable for the Mediterranean climate. For mums with babies there is a new Mother’s Choice Cambridge Cot with full accessories. SEN is child friendly.
SEN is a place you can enjoy with a loved one or share the experience with a small group of friends. Tathra is spoiled with National Parks and reserves, beautiful beaches, pristine estuaries and rivers. Pick your water sport, fish or just swim and chill-out at the beach. There is a relaxing walk to Tathra Beach which takes about 25 minutes through a reserve, passing Black Ada Lagoon on the way. Or if you can\'t wait, then drive there in 5 minutes and return in the afternoon to watch the sunset from the house with drinks and a BBQ on the deck.
Its all good!
