Description
The character filled and newly restored 'Old Homestead', is the property's original 120 year old farm house. Being our newest addition it is one of three wonderful self contained cottages located at Minimbah Farm, a magnificent 150 acre beef cattle property nestled in beautiful Kangaroo Valley.
Relax and take in the stunning views from the verandahs, wander around the wonderful farm which is surrounded by lush rainforest. Enjoy a bbq at the creek, feed the goats, collect the eggs from the friendly chooks, go wombat spotting at night, and if you are patient and quiet enough, you just might spot "Felix" our resident Platypus. There is also a mini golf course. Minimbah Farm is well away from the main road and is sure to please.
Located 2km from the village in Kangaroo Valley where you will find excellent cafes and restaurants as well as many speciality shops. Activities include canoeing, horseriding, golf and tennis. Kangaroo Valley is 30 minutes to beaches and 30 minutes to the Southern Highlands.
In situations where there are no other bookings immediately before or after yours, we are more than happy to offer you an early check in (10am) and a late check out (4pm). Just ask us if this is available just before arriving.

The Old Homestead
The Old Homestead is fully self contained and private - approximately 200 metres from any other residence on the farm. It has an outdoor hot spa and sleeps up to thirteen in total and eight comfortably. There are three bedrooms which consists of one king bedroom also with a double sofa bed (4), another king bedroom (2) a double bunk in the third bedroom with pull out single trundle bed (3). Then there is a sofa that converts to a queen bed in the sun room (2) and a queen ottoman pullout bed (2)makes a total of thirteen (13). Additional fold out beds can be supplied upon request.
Off Peak Weekend: Old Homestead rates are $420 per night for up to four people with a minimum two night stay = $840.
If more than four, add $45 per night per extra adult, $30 per night per extra child under 16 and $15 per child under 2.
Off Peak Midweek: Old Homestead rates are $330 per night for two people with a minimum two night stay = $660. In some cases we will consider one night stays midweek.
If more than two, add $45 per night per extra adult, $30 per night per extra child under 16 and $15 per child under 2.
Off Peak Weekly: Old Homestead rates are $1980 for two people plus $270 per extra adult and $180 per extra child under 16 and $90 per child under 2.
Peak School Holidays and Long weekends: Old Homestead peak rates are $420 per night for up to four people with a minimum three night stay = $1260. If more than four, add $45 per night per extra adult, $30 per night per extra child under 16 and $15 per child under 2.

The Cottage has a log fire and can sleep up to eight in total, however it comfortably sleeps six. It consists of one queen bedroom (2), another second bedroom with two double bunks (4) and then there is a pull out sofa in the living area (2) makes a total of eight. Also, if needed, we have another single fold out bed which would make nine.

The Loft is quaint and rustic and sleeps up to eleven in total, but seven comfortably. There are three bedrooms which consists of one queen bedroom downstairs (2), one queen bedroom upstairs (2) two double bunks (4) and one single bed (1) in the open loft bedroom. Then there is a pull out sofa in the living area (2) makes a total of eleven. Also, if needed, we have another single fold out bed (1) which would makes a total of twelve.

Nightly rates are based on four guests weekends and peak and two guests midweek off peak. If more, add $45 per night per extra adult, $30 per night per extra child under 16 and $15 per child under 2.
Discounts
Our current specials for Feb-Dec 2013 are: For off-peak periods … Weekends: 3rd night is half price or Midweek: 3 nights for the price of 2, 4 nights for the price of 2.5, and 5 nights the price of 3. Minimbah Farm, Bringing people together :-)
