The Hat Factory is a charming & convenient place to stay right in the historic heart of Australia\'s oldest inland settlement, Bathurst.

There are three spacious, natural light filled studio apartments in the three storey building. Each apartment has a Queen sized bed and all facilities for comfortable self contained and private living.

Built in the 1840\'s, The Hat Factory is a calming place of immense old world charm and character.

Long abandoned as a hat factory and reduced to a derelict home for pigeons, The Hat Factory has been restored with pride to its architectural elegance of yesteryear.

Restoration of The Hat Factory has been a labour of love, wonderful imagination and meticulous attention to detail using only recycled materials sourced from Bathurst and environs. The stunning restoration has been acknowledged by the National Trust by way of a Heritage Award.

The Hat Factory is situated at the rear of the historic E. Webb & Co Chambers built in 1863 as the first inland Department Store west of the Blue Mountains. This magnificent old building is also undergoing major restoration by the same owner.

Once the finest of mercantile houses, Webb\'s Chambers was originally part of a grouping of buildings known as \"Webb\'s Buildings.\" It covered one-and-a-half acres and included the Hat Factory and various factories and warehouses. The old stables, now accommodation for Conservation Volunteers, was once a Cobb & Co booking office.

Webb\'s Chambers overlook Machattie Park, a restful and shady place with majestic mature trees and a very large pond for ducks and assorted bird life.

Bathurst\'s multiple award winning restaurant, Cobblestonelane, is situated in Webb\'s Chambers. The restaurant balcony overlooks the courtyard at the front of The Hat Factory.

Adjoining Cobblestonelane is a spacious, light and airy gallery which is available for functions.

The Hat Factory offers a reasonable tariff at $90 per night per apartment for one or two guests. The minimum stay is two nights. Wireless internet connection to each apartment.

There is plenty of off street secure parking with the area locked at night.
