Description

The unit is on the second floor of an older apartment complex, with a view of the Hastings river. (The unit complex does not have a lift and is on the second floor)
The unit is in close proximty to clubs(Panthers RSL, Westport and City Bowling clubs), restaurants, cafes and pubs. There is a variety of entertainment available during the holiday season.
Port Macquarie Racecourse has regular country race meetings and is only a short drive. Buses run in the holiday season to the racecourse.
Only a short walk to the CBD (approx 300 metres), Town Green,and Port Central shopping complex. Settlement City shopping centre is a short drive.
The unit is close to many restaurants and cafes and the Ritz cinema. Port Macquarie is the home of the historic Alma Doeppal, only 5 minutes walk away.

Greater Port Macquarie is located midway between Sydney and Brisbane on the North Coast of NSW. It is only 260 km north of Newcastle, 420 km from Sydney and 510 km from Brisbane.

Geography: From the mouth of the Hastings and Camden Haven Rivers west to the Great Dividing Range with a coastline of 84kms. Total area is 3,739sqkms. The topography of the area is very diverse ranging from sand dunes, coastal wetlands, flood plains and mountain regions.

Climate: Temperature range is 7-27°C.The area enjoys the best climate in Australia, with the maximum daytime temperature not going above 30 degrees C or below 15 degrees C.

Major Towns/Suburbs: Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Laurieton, North Haven, Dunbogan, Comboyne, Kendall, Kew, Bonny Hills, Lake Cathie.

Transport Access: Air, rail, interstate and local coach services.

  • "We stayed over the June long weekend. Excellent location. It is an older unit and that is reflected in the low cost. The unit is clean and nicely decorated with new furniture. A nice touch was that Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Fresh Milk, Tissues, Liquid Soap and extra Toilet Paper were ready and waiting for us upon arrival. There is so much to do in Port Macquarie as well. We enjoyed our stay in this unit and will stay there again."
