Description

Enquire now for 27 Jan - 4 Feb. Special last minute rates. The location is quite unique, the view simply stunning. Any time of year. Nuns Beach House is a large, comfortable house perched just above the pristine, golden sands and turquoise waters of Nuns beach - a secluded cove flanked by wooded headlands, 15 minutes south of Batemans Bay in South Rosedale. Nuns beach is inaccessible by car, but accessed by a short bush track just 50 metres from the house. The house itself is in a quiet and quite private setting being surrounded by its own native garden with no immediate neighbours. The view from the lounge room and the deck takes in the beach, the bush, the ocean crashing on the rocky headlands and a lighthouse in the distance. It is almost incomparable.

Nuns Beach House comprises 2 separate areas. There are no internal stairs. You may rent just upstairs, or upstairs and downstairs (you will never share Nuns with another party whichever part of the house you rent).
There are 3-4 bedrooms upstairs, sleeping a maximum of 8 people and 2 bedrooms downstairs, sleeping a maximum of 6. The main living areas are upstairs.
Tariffs are a good indication only. Exact tariff depends on number in yr party and whether you rent upstairs and downstairs. Contact us directly for a quote.

Location

South Rosedale is approximately 3.5 hrs south of the centre of Sydney, under 2 hrs from Canberra and a comfortable days drive from Melbourne. The area is relatively undeveloped, the beaches and waterways are sparkling and unspoilt and often deserted. The closest shops are at Malua Bay, a 5 minute drive from the house.

Local Attractions

Romantic, private beaches protected by bush and rugged, wooded headlands, and long stretches of sand - 2 beaches within a few minutes walk of the house down bush tracks, great for paddling, swimming or surfing. • "We had a great stay with two other families - the size and configuration worked really well. It was a great location to explore the car both on foot and by car. We recommend the walk from the house down to Guerilla Bay. Definitely a place I can see us coming back to."
    Mark, December 2011

  • "Wonderful Spot, very private area! The beach is beautiful and we saw so much wildlife; whales, seals and even a monitor lizard! The house is huge and has a wonderful view. This was the second time we've stayed here and we will stay again! Many thanks..."
    Nichola, November 2011

  • "Beautiful location, great beaches and lots of nice walks around the house. The house is big and comfortable, with an amazing view on the sea from the lounge. We were there with 3 babies and everything was very easy. "

  • "We had a wonderful 2 weeks - ideal for a large family. We particularly appreciated the ocean views, the closeness to two virtually private beaches and the convenient location in terms of local attractions"
    Nick, September 2011

  • "great location - amazing views. Great walks etc - really good for a winter weekend away. Kids all loved it too, plenty of room for them to run amok. "

  • "This is a great place and is very well suited to two families. Having space is precious to everone and there is a lot of it at Nun's. The best thing is the location and views. A choice of two beaches depending on the direction of the wind is a blessing. Thanks!"
    Shannon, January 2011

  • "We rose early after being woken by the EchoEchoEcho bird, the Whip bird, the aaR-KAK bird, 2 Kookaburras and 2 Magpies so we went for a walk. At Jimmie's Island we were greeted by stereo whales playing in the bays to the north and south. We returned and shared our breakfast with the magpies on the deck. This is our second visit this year. Next year perhaps it will be 3???... Shame about the Marine Reserve covering Nun's Beach. We are keen "catch and release" fisherpeople. We caught salmon and flathead from Rosedale Beach which is outside the reserve."
    Bill and Kathy, October 2010

  • "Top spot, quiet location, choice of beaches, great ocean and bush views, well equipped, close to other attractions, kids loved it too."
    Rob, July 2010

  • "Just letting you know we had a wonderful time at Nuns beach house, what a wonderful spot! The kids loved the lovely protected beach and the rock pools. Shaun caught lots of fish. We walked over to Guerilla Bay one day and all in all had a lovely break"
