Killaloo is a tranquil 24 acre property in Mount Wilson in the Blue Mountains.

Surrounded by National Park, with nature as your neighbour, the varied grounds include bushland, cultivated garden and native rainforest. Accommodation is in a comfortable cottage with WOOD FIRE HEATER and large covered patio.

Killaloo is ideal for a peaceful family holiday or couple retreat, under 2 hours from Sydney CBD.


The Cottage

Killaloo cottage is set in an established garden surrounded by native bushland. There is plenty of space to walk, cycle, or hit a golf ball in the grounds in absolute peace and tranquility.

On cold winter's nights, enjoy the wood fire heater in the cosy lounge.

Sit on the covered patio or picnic in your private parkland below the house, listen to the native birds call or walk on the rainforest track in the valley. You may even see a wombat or a wallaby.

On a cloudless night you will marvel at the star studded sky seldom seen in suburban Sydney and you may hear the activities of nocturnal wildlife.

The cottage consists of:

Two spacious bedrooms, one with queen sized bed and one with 3 single beds.
External sunroom with 3 beds.
Farm style kitchen / dining room with family sized table.
Character lounge with slow combustion heater.
Bathroom and additional external toilet.

SLOW COMBUSTION WOOD HEATER (wonderful for those autumn or summer nights)

Activities in Mount Wilson and the region.

In Mt Wilson:
- Enjoy the tranquil grounds of Killaloo.
- Mount Wilson is famous for it’s magnificent gardens. Enjoy the spectacular spring and autumn colours or take a rain forest walk.
- Admire the historic church and Turkish baths.
- Have coffee or breakfast at the Chimney Cottage tea house.

Outdoor Activities:
Killaloo makes an ideal base for regional activities including bush walking, horse riding in the Megalong Valley, canyoning on the Wollangambe River, and abseiling in The Grose Valley.

Local:
-The beautiful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens with panoramic restaurant (20 mins).
- The village of Mt Victoria (20 mins).
- The antique shops, galleries and restaurants of Blackheath, Katoomba and Leura (40 mins).
- The Zig Zag Railway at Clarence (20 mins).
- Golfing facilities at Blackheath or Leura.
- The Jenolan Caves near Oberon (90 mins).

Note:
Mount Wilson is the secluded jewel of the Blue Mountains. There are NO shops, petrol stations or medical services on Mount Wilson. Mt Victoria, Lithgow and Bilpin, are approx. 30 minutes away.
