Intimate, stylish and of high quality, Pengallie is a boutique, fully self contained and private two bedroom California Bungalow. Art Deco architectural features and furnishings have been restored throughout the home. Pengallie is located in a quiet residential street in the central heritage district of Bendigo, just blocks from the Fountain.
Pengallie has featured in many local Newspaper and Magazine articles and photo shoots for local fashion outlets, Bridal Magazines and Home Renovations.
FEATURES
High ceilings in every room, the lounge room has a beautiful domed ceiling with crystal chandelier evocative of the glamorous Art Deco era. Central heating and Airconditioning has been installed for year round comfort. A three seater and two seater leather lounge is roomy and comfy.
FREE FOXTEL, wide screen digital tv and i-pod dock/CD/RADIO for your choice of music, and a range of DVD's, books, magazines and games for your enjoyment.
The kitchen is delightful and is equipped with a gas stove and microwave. We have all the tools, pots and pans you need for a longer stay if you are planning to dine in. There is also a barbecue and outdoor dining area seating six for those balmy Bendigo days when you want to enjoy the outdoors.
The fab 50's Danish teak dining table in our retro Dining Room extends to seat six guests comfortably. That along with the beautiful Danish teak Sideboard and old maps framed on the walls make this room a favourite with Guests.
The bathroom features a shower over the bath, and the power shower can be adjusted to suit your likes... A hairdryer is also provided.
A fully equipped laundry with washer, dryer and ironing facilities.
Off street parking for up to three vehicles, including one carport.
We also keep an extensive range of up to date maps, tourist and restaurant information on hand for Guests who want to get out and explore the City.
A fully fenced private garden with bbq and outdoor dining area and a lush lawn area perfect for lazing in the sun.
Well behaved "pets by arrangement", though we do have quite strict rules for pets staying at Pengallie.
We specialise in romantic weekend stays. Just let Christine know of any special arrangements you would like before your arrival, we aim to please!

Bendigo Corner Store Cafe is just a 30 second stroll away and is open for breakfast, lunch, superb coffee, newspapers, milk and is fully licensed. Open 7 days, M-F 7.30am-6.30pm and S-S 8.30am-4.30pm.
LEAVE THE CAR AT HOME....
The Old Boundary Hotel is just around the block, well within walking distance and provides arguably Bendigo's best pub meals. Bookings are essential.
ARTS & CULTURE...
The View Street Arts Precinct is less than a minute away by car. "MODERN LOVE" featuring Fashion and Design by Vivian Westwood, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior to name a few will be exhibited at The Bendigo Art Gallery from 26th October 2013 - 2nd February 2014. Book Pengallie now to avoid dissapointment.
We are pleased to offer our Guests free admission to Artist Gail Tavener's Studio in Golden Square. We exhibit a small number of Gail's art in Pengallie, these are also offered for sale.

Pengallie has two Queen Bedrooms - they are named after the Laura Ashley wallpapers they are decorated with:
"Oriental Garden Bedroom" - Queen size bed with luxurious silk bed canopy. This bedroom offers a genteel, romantic ambience , the soft pillow top mattress with luxurious Sheridan and Laura Ashley linens offers a wonderful nights sleep. Towels and Dressing Gowns are provided. This room is light and airy, and perfect for Bridal photography.
"Josette Bedroom" - Queen size bed with pillow top mattress and luxury linens. A velvet, diamond studded headboard and beautiful Venetian mirror reflecting the crystal chandelier that hangs over the bed makes this a very decadent and glamorous room. Towels and Dressing Gowns are provided.
A high quality Fold out bed for a fifth guest, this can be set up in the Oriental Garden Bedroom or in the Dining Room for a totally private room. Sheridan and Laura Ashley linens are all provided for this bed too!

Stay the night before your wedding and enjoy being pampered and dressed at Pengallie with your friends and family, then return after your wedding day draws to a close to romantic Pengallie.
We can suggest hair and make-up artists, florists and car hire if you need assistance.
Speak to Christine about any special requirements or surprises that you may have to make your Day even more special.
