Troopers Cottage Berrima is available for weekend rentals or midweek if you prefer
The cottage has three double bedrooms (two doubles, one twin). Linen is supplied (towels and bedding).
The cottage also has two bathrooms, a character kitchen and a comfortable living room with an open log fire (firewood supplied).
The cottage is only a short walk to the centre of the village and sits on the edge of bushland with wonderful bushwalks alongside the river.
Troopers Cottage was built in the 1860s as a residence for a senior Berrima Gaol official and his family.
From 1894 until the 1930s it served as Berrima's police station and the residence of three Mounted Troopers (a sergeant and two constables).
The cottage has been fully restored, retaining all its original features - 6 fireplaces, an historic bathroom, a character kitchen and antique furnishings.
Troopers Cottage has central heating to the bedrooms and living room, a working log fireplace in the living room, two bathrooms and a sunroom. A large stone courtyard is ideal for sunny days.
The two Queen size beds and the two single beds have the highest quality mattresses, blankets and linen. The towels are Egyptian cotton.
