The villa is very private and quiet and the staff are very helpful. Our property Manager Yuda was always available to help arrange scooter hire and transport. Mertha House is a comfortable home well appointed home from which to enjoy tours guided by the host , Made. Made is a great host. There is a good choice of tours and activities in the surrounding area including organic farms offering meals in a jungle setting, rice fields, coffee plantations, hot springs, temples including water blessings and a volcano. Made’s wife Komma is an excellent cook and there is a good menu from which to choose tasty meals served in house. Mertha House is located in a village of 1800 people and provides a good base from which to experience the real Bali.
