Holiday rentals near Gloucester Folk Museum

Booked the Manning cottage for 5 nights. It was as described comfortable and welcoming, with all the facilities necessary for a very pleasant self contained experience. Great views overlooking the river, quiet and private. The host Paul was very friendly and on hand when needed. We thoroughly recommend Barrington Cottages as a great hideaway holiday in a lovely setting.Thanks a lot to our hosts for a great stay. We'll be back for sure.

We had an amazing three-day glamping trip that was the perfect mix of comfort, nature, and fun! The tents were beautifully set up with lovely Lillypond views and had everything we needed — a great blend of value and luxury.Our kids had an unforgettable time, especially with Ollie, the lovely, kid-friendly dog who loved chasing after the ball. Kids also enjoyed the indoor games, pool table (used in our own unique way!), visiting farm animals, and just being together outdoors. Big thanks to our wonderful hosts, Simon and Kelli, who made sure everything was perfect and took such great care of us. We even had a little adventure on the way home with rain, overflowing creeks, and tree branches — but it only added to the memories.Highly recommend this place for families or groups of friends looking for a relaxing, fun-filled, and memorable glamping experience. Can’t wait to come back again!

Loved the house and location

Took our 4 teenage daughters away for a short getaway. The place was relaxing and peaceful, great swimming in the river. Would come again.

Just wanted to thank Alan and Eva for the amazing weekend away and for sharing their beautiful property. The cabin offered everything you could ever need. Both Alan and Eva were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much to ask. Alan showed us around the property after we had settled in. It was simply stunning. We were extremely grateful he shared their paradise with us. The scenery, the feeling on the property, the sounds of nature and farm animals were extremely peaceful and magical. A feast for the senses. We came for a weekend of rest, reset and balance. We e ded up hiking up to one of the hills to watch the sun rise and were rewarded with a spectacular view, one we wont forget. There is so much to explore on the property from the hills, to the creeks, looking for the beautiful orchids, picking mullberries. Or if you prefer to stop read a book and listen to the birds, then the balcony is the place to sit , to stop and breathe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can not recommend it enough. Eva and Alan, again we appreciate you sharing your property and your hospitality. Thank you for everything. We are extremely grateful we could create beautiful memories here. too

I cannot gush about how beautiful our stay was. The hosts had the most impeccable communication. The house is so well appointed. There is everything you could think of that you need. I had the best nights sleeps! The beds are beyond comfortable in fact more comfy than my bed at home! Mind blown. The calves on the property as so sweet and it was lovely to being doing dishes seeing them graze peacefully out the window. The fire pit outside was perfect for stargazing and keeping cosy on chilly nights. It was utterly beautiful, sparkingly clean, and so relaxing. The outlook is so peaceful with rolling green hills and the sounds of birds. There were activities for the kids. We all had the best time. Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home.
