Holiday rentals near Pu'u 'O'o Trailhead

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this cosy cabin. Super easy check-in and so wonderfully clean with beautiful cut flowers from the garden. Kids loved the bunk beds but found the mattress a bit hard. The water was tricky to get right for the shower but nothing unmanageable. Loads of things to eat/cook with in the kitchen but I’d buy food on the way if planning to eat in from Hilo or Kona as there is super limited food options at Volcano. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this wonderful home away from home.

Beautiful property, home away from home. Great location close to shops and Volcano NP. Everything you need for a great vacation, lovely interior, comfortable beds, peaceful gardens and very well equipped. Easy self-check in and communicative hosts. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable stay in this spacious and well equipped property.We only had 2 nights but would also be great for longer stays.

It truly was a delight to stay in this cosy little cottage, located just minutes away from Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Kathryn was a brilliant host and her husband Kenneth has designed and handcrafted the most incredible timber cottage. It was wonderful to luxuriate inside while listening to the gentle sounds of water dripping in the rainforest, which tinkled with birdsong. Given the opportunity, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
