Holiday rentals near Charterhouse of St. Giacomo

This is an amazing place to stay for a holiday in Sorrento. My wife and I spent three nights in this penthouse, and we were warmly welcomed by the property manager Gerardo's parents, who greeted us with local lemons and cakes. They mostly spoke Italian, but with a little English and plenty of gestures, we communicated effortlessly. They were incredibly kind and thoughtful. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the town center and ferry. The penthouse is spacious, with a balcony off the main bedroom and a huge rooftop terrace offering stunning views of the shoreline. The large bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. Gerardo was very responsive to all our inquiries, and we highly recommend this penthouse to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday experience in Sorrento!

Fantastic property, only downfall was it wa a little far from the centre of town which meant taxis were expensive

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. The location was right on the beach with a fabulous view of the bay. From this location you can catch a well organised ferry to Capri, Amalfi, Sorrento, etc We were able to swim every day which was really important as it was quite hot and humid during our time there. Note: For the uninitiated We are Aussies so we are used to sand on beaches but here in Italy the beaches are river type pebbly stones which need to be negotiated to get to the water - most wear rubber diving boots available at the local shop. The air conditioning in each of the two bedrooms was great thankfully and the kitchen put to good use. Our hosts were very helpful throughout our stay and gave us lots of help with activities restaurants etc while respecting our privacy. The WiFi was a bit weak but usable. Highly recommended for those who prefer a more rustic experience away from the big and expensive hotels.
