We stayed for a week at Lahaina Shores in early January. This was our first trip to Maui and we absolutely loved it. The property was just as presented on the website- no nasty surprises and there was everything you could want for a fantastic stay in the apartment. The view is fantastic and every single day we saw lots of whales swimming past our window. It is a wonderful spot to sit and have a drink and watch the world go by. The apartment is very well appointed with everything needed for cooking and relaxing on the beach. The location is excellent- just at the end of town in a wonderful quiet spot, but so close to everything as well. Only a few minutes walk into town and the shops and restaurants, although just out the back gate is a lovely place called Betty's where you can get a great meal and drink. Marge the owner was a pleasure to deal with during the booking process. We had a slight hiccup with check-in as we arrived after reception was closed which is 10pm, but this was soon resolved. This was a resort issue not an issue with the apartment. I would not hesitate to recommend this property, and we will definitely be back to stay with Marge again!

It was comfortable and spacious enough for 2. Kihei is not the nicest destination in Maui - thankfully Wailea was about 15 mins drive away and had much better beaches, shops and restaurants. The accomodation was fine, but lacked attention to detail for guests to make it score higher for us. The air-conditioning unit was very loud and disturbed our sleep whilst not being that effective. There were no simple provisions, I would expect tea, coffee and milk for the type of accomodation offered and at that price, doesn't take much to add in the nice touches. The TV was good and was a smart TV which was good, so we could watch YouTube. The international plug station was a handy touch. Other than loud air conditioning nothing to complain about - was totally fine, but definitely room for improvement!
