We spent two nights at this comfortable house, and used it as our base for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The host, Michael, made everything at his hands to make us feel at home, and provided great advice on weather and the crossing. We are really happy to have staid at his house.

We had a great time staying at Bjorn’s Chalet. Everything was so comfortable and the view of Mt Ruapehu from the living area upstairs was jaw dropping. Highly recommend, will definitely look to stay again next time we are here!

We traveled from WA so my kids could see snow and experience snow activities. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good and it got worse as time went by. The Mountain Greenie was a saving grace. For the activities available at the garage and board games were perfect for those wet days.
I recommend stretching before you play twister.
