Comfortable property by the river

Wairere Rest is a really special property and a perfect place for some time away. The cottage is larger than we expected and has everything you could possibly need. The gardens and property were stunning and there's so many great food and wine options in the area. Even a 5-star rating doesn't seem high enough for Wairere Rest and we hope to return at some point in the future.

Beautiful outlook

We loved our stay, the host was very accommodating and communicated with us before and before our arrival with clear instructions on getting there, things to do and self self-check-in in process. We had everything except the marshmallows to toast on the fire. Being city slickers we had no idea how to start a fire, luckily our host was at hand to start it for us.It's on a big enough property that our schnauzer enjoyed walking around freely but kept her on a leash most of the time.Thanks so much Paul and Cathy

The cabins are a new build and have all amenities. Exceptionally clean,modern, furnished with all necessity, regardless if you're staying for the night only or longer. I recommend it, the staff were very lovely and available for assistance!

Not far from The lake. House is beautiful

We've stayed in a lot of short-term rental properties over the years, and this is absolutely one of the best. The home is spotless and comfortable; the location could not be better; the communication with the owner was fantastic. Our dog felt very welcome and they even had extra dog dishes if needed! Finally, they offer a really well-stocked kitchen, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own butter or olive oil, etc. We simply don't have a negative word to say - this is an amazing property with a gracious host, and we certainly hope to stay here again in the future.

Nice place to stay with views around the lake which makes up for poor TV reception. Wifi provided. The Manager is helpful and willing to make your stay the best possible.
